After the two dragged their feet from exhaustion, they made it to an opening where down a small dirt road there was a small red building at the end. It was lit up and bright from the lights that surrounded it. Gilbert's eyes widened as he reached for Yao's hand to keep him going.
"I-It's help! there might be help there Yao!" Gilbert sighed with hope.
Yao nodded and quickly tried to pick up his pace with Gilbert who was practically dragging him along. The two quickened their pace down the dirt road, approaching closer towards the red building. Gilbert stepped closer towards it and noticed the door was locked. Cursing mentally he looked to Yao, " Is there a rock ve can use to break zhe vindow here?"
Yao looked around and picked up one rock that was pretty big handing it to Gilbert gripped it and chucked it as hard as he could as the glass window on the door. Carefully he tried to reach his hand in to unlock the door only to scrape his left forearm. He winced and pulled it back, bleeding a bit from the cuts the shards of glass gave. He looked and Carefully stepped around the glass before waving Yao to follow inside the small red building as well.
Yao turned and locked the door which didn't seem to make much sense in Gilbert's eyes. He focused on the building and looked around to find any kind of contact device to get help. His eyes scanned frantically before he saw a walkie-talkie charging port. His eyes locked onto it and quickly he made his way over and turned one on.
"Let's see, It's this button I think to talk?" he asked out loud before fumbling with the buttons. His voice remained calm as he clearly called out, "Hallo? is anyone there?...um over?"
Yao made sure to keep watch just in case, whether it was for his own sanity or for their safety, his eyes couldn't stop darting from the window to the door. Finally, after Gilbert continued to call out on the walkie-talkie, he looked as if he were ready to give up until a voice spoke up firmly trying to hide the grogginess they felt.
"This is ranger tower one, Over." Gilbert lit up looking at Yao as they made a success. The ranger on the other line spoke up again, " Who is calling? over."
Gilbert licked his lips with eagerness as he spoke, " H-Hallo, My name is Gilbert Beldishmdt! My friend Yao and I need help! send help immediately! over!"
"Son, you were talking too fast that I could not catch that. Please speak calmly and slowly. over."
Gilbert groaned and took a deep breath. " There is a psychopath on zhe mountain. Trying to shoot us. Ve need help, please!"
There was a moment before the person spoke up, " I copy, tell me your location so I can send some law enforcement to aid you. over."
Gilbert and Yao sighed in relief as the two looked at a large map that was laid out. Gilbert gave his direction quickly and precisely. As they waited for the man to speak, another voice carried out on the radio.
" I see. So that's where you little rats are." hissed out a man's voice.
Gilbert and Yao froze as the blood rushed from their faces. That voice was from the psycho. Gilbert shook his head and quickly Yao shot up, " We have to leave! Now!"
Gilbert started to suddenly sob as he clutched his head," How is this even fucking possible!? ve're both gonna die now....ve're gonna die-"
The loud slap could be heard as Yao glared at Gilbert and roughly shook his shoulder. "Snap out of it you dumbass! We will make it alive. Now get up and start moving!" Yao ordered as he roughly pulled Gilbert up.
Gilbert touched his cheek that was now currently red but stayed silent. Leaving the walkie-talkie that had a concerned forest ranger on the other line asking if they copied. Back inside the cozy cabin that belonged to Matt, Ivan tensed up and slowly started to look at his surroundings before he realized it was cold, like cement. His shaky breath felt hallow and eery in this complete immersed dark place. Just what had happened stumped him more, as well as angered him. That bastard Matt snatched him up after walking from Alfred's apartment.
