The Truth Laid Bare

"Your telling me that one of the worst criminals that this country has seen was your father? I must say that comes as a suprise. I never expected someone like him to ever raise a child." All Might placed his hand on his chin as if he were deep in thought. "Is this why he disappeared? No, that wouldn't make sense, that means you would nearly twice your curent age. And how could he possibly have gotten a private recommendation with his past? No one would want to sponsor the child of a known super villain out of fear you could be exactly like him, Hm."

"It was because of my mother. She was a doctor from the U.S. who came here on business. My father told me the story of how they met many, many times, and it started like this."

"Damn this rain! Just my luck that the one day I forget to take an umbrella with me when I go out it decides to come down like a tsunami."

I shook my head and brushed my jacket to shake off some of the water, then looked around. The coffee shop I had quickly stepped into to escape the deluge was slightly crowded. Almost every seat and booth had a person sitting in it, but I could make out that one chair in the back wasn't occupied. I decided to make my way to the open spot but paused when noticed that the table was in fact occupied.

I stood there for a moment, Awestruck by her beauty. I had never seen someone with such grace, her dark brown hair floated over her shoulder as if gravity did not touch her. Her eyes smoothly flowed over the pages of her book like running water. If I had died in that moment I would have been okay with it because I got to see her. She looked up from her book and gave me a smile.

"I'm guessing you came in here to get out of the rain too? I was fortunate enough to have a book in my bag for some light reading on my down time.
Feel free to take a seat, I'd love to have someone to chat with."

"Thank you very much." I bowed my head then sat down.

"My name is Victoria Wiles."

I smiled back at her, "I'm Ken, Ken Kirisagi."
