Chapter mostly set in the guys POV.
Javier's POV
I needed badly to tell the boys what I found out from Angel. She's our friend now and we take good care of our friends. So I hit Zack up.
Me: What's up Z? I need to holler.
Zachary: Chilling in the parking lot with the boys. Where are you?
Me: I'm on my way out there now. I need to talk to all of you about Angel. Something fucked up.
Zachary: Alright bud. See ya when you get out here.
And I was off to the parking lot.
On my way I was sidetracked by that damn Tierra. I don't know what the fuck is her deal but I stopped to see what she wanted anyway.
"Why do you insist on hanging out with that girl? She's no good for you. If you get involved with her you'll end up hurt I swear on my mama." She started. Why is it always about Angel? I swear I have to nip that but not now. "What I do, and who I hang with is none of your business. I don't see why you keep putting your two sense in it anyway. You need that change more than I do." I remarked coldly. "I have you know. I have more money that she will ever have. Her car is a rental. Atleast I can pay for my vehicle." This bitch is delusional. "Teenagers can't drive rentals dumb ass." I needed to get out of there. So I walked away. She kept calling out my name, but I was gone. I ran to the boys in time enough so they didn't think I bailed on them.
"Where the fuck were you?" Will asked. I guess he has somewhere to be. "I got tied up in some ratchets. I made it though. See?" I like annoying Will. I know boy always is on a tight schedule. "Dude, he's always late. Have you forgotten this?" Zack said. Always keeping the peace between us. "Where Paul and Adrian? I needed all of y'all here." I stated. "Paul had soccer practice and Adrian track and field." Will explained. "I would be there but I have been excused of practice today." Will explained. "Well alright, let me just tell you two then we can tell the others later." I said as I went into what Angel told me today.
"When I see that nigger I'm going to make him pay. He doesn't deserve to be free." We all just stare at Will after he makes the most racist remark he has ever made since we've met the guy. "Dude, whoa. Chill with that racist stuff Will. I feel like we're your slaves and we should be calling you massa or some shit. What are you going to do to him? Whip him? Throw him in the hot box?" Zack exclaims. "I mean I just hate people like him. It's those types of black people that I can't stand. They get on my ever lasting nerves and deserve to rot in a cell for all eternity. But shit. There are some white people like that too. I really generally hate people you guys. You're my closest friends and I love you all. But some things people do especially the blacks just make me so upset. They could really be doing better. They deserve a better name for themselves." Will explains with sincerity.
Later on we caught up with Adrian and Paul and decided to hit the mall. We were just walking and talking. We filled them in on what happened with Angel, Paul kind of flipped. And I made them all swear under guy code oath not to mention anything to Orlando or Angel. Shit we hadn't even seen guy today, but when I see him I know I'm going to confront that son of a bitch. What he did to Angel was so wrong, and for his sister to hate her like she does for something that's not even true. That's fucked up. Who knows what she went through at that school after all that went down. Maybe she'll tell me.
Will's POV
"Where have you been all day boy? I've been here for hours. School has been out for a few hours, and don't you have school tomorrow also?" Looks like grandfather is here to visit this week. So much for the back to school party Friday. That's probably impossible now. I was supposed to have the house to myself the first week. Gosh I fucking hate life right now. "Hello grandfather, I was out with some friends from school," I said before I was scolded for being rude and not speaking. "The boys from the cross country team? Or those boys I ask of you not to be seen with. You know how much shame you'd be putting my father's father in by hanging around with those people." He refers to the the last slave owner of our family with such delight it sickens me. Why would someone want to own human beings? Also why does my grandfather have to worry about who I hang out with? "Why, might I ask, would it be so shameful for me to hang out with blacks. Some of them are just a rich as we are. Zachary for instance, hell grandfather he's not even all the way black. And Javier. He's Hispanic." I said to my grandfather. All respect for this man flew out the window at that moment. I wish the adults in my life would just go away. My parents seem to have no problem with it. Who invited this guy to come over and ruin my plans? "I will not take this type of disrespect from you young man! What has gotten into you boy? You used to love when I visited you while your parents were away kid, what changed?" He had some nerve. "I grew the fuck up. I used to have nannies here when you visited. But it felt good to actually have family here. Mom and dad leave when I ask. They come back, and leave when I ask again. I really hate to tell you this, but I enjoy having this vast amount of house to myself with no one to tell me what to do. I'm the fucking boss on this land, and all the black people be here. All day, every day. My friends are coming over soon anyway." I spoke.
Adrian's POV
I came home to Ray hitting my mom again. I so badly want out of this house right now. But I can't let this nigga just keep beating on my mother. So like any other day I grabbed his ass off her. "Get your fucking hands off my mom Ray." I bellowed. "Boy go to your room and let grown folks handle they own shit." This nigga has some nerve. "You can always take your ass on out of this house. You can leave our lives just as fast as you came in. Mama I don't even understand why you keep putting up with this nigga. I hope you glad as fuck I'm not a girl witnessing this happen to you. And you damn sure better be glad I'm a boy who's going to whoop his ass if he lays another hand on you." I speak to her. "Get your son before I put him in the ER." Now this nigga really done did it. I stole off and when it hit him that I was serious he swug again, only he missed because I ducked, and I punched him in the eye. Then I kicked him in the nuts to bring him down a few levels, I punched him in the stomach till he fell to the ground. Then I kicked him in the ribs until I knew he couldn't move. I had to make sure he wouldn't lay another hand on my mother if I had to kill his ass right now. My mother got me to stop after he stopped struggling, but I didn't want to. I kicked him one last time in the head before I headed up to my room.
Later on after the EMS took Ray to the ER, my mom can in my room to talk to me about my actions. Which really pissed me off. "Son, you have to stop lashing out like that. He could press charges on you baby." My mother states with sympathy. That's fucking disgusting. "You are kidding me right now. Mama if I hadn't came in when I did that would have been you on that damn stretcher on the way to the ER and then no one would have stopped me from killing him then. You have to kick him out. He's no good for you and we don't need him." I said frustrated. "Adrian he does it because he loves me. He doesn't mean to hurt me he promises. He's just upset that I wouldn't tell my people to rip up the prenup that he signed before we got married." Mother is beyond stupid. "Mom, you are beyond stupid. Get your ass beat for being stupid, but I'm not going to always be here. If I get no say in what goes on here I'll leave." I threaten. I know my mom doesn't want me gone, but I have to go to Will's house anyways. So I leave her with nothing more to say.
Zack's POV
I was the first one to get to Will's house. Some old white man opened the door with a look of disgust on his face. I was about to mention his rudeness when I saw my boy coming down the stairs. So I brushed it off and gave Will some dap. "Who's that?" I asked him. "Just my prude ass grandfather. Don't mind him. He won't be here for long. I promise you." He assured. Where this wigga parents be at? I swear I've only seen them a couple times, and they were always on the way out the door. "Alright," I said, "so where is everyone else man?" I pondered. "Oh, they on the way. Adrian whooped his stepfather's ass and sent him to the ER with broken ribs, punctured lungs, and head trauma. Javier was on the way like twenty five fucking minutes ago, and Paul can't make it." Will informed me. "Well okay, we need to talk about how Javier is going to get anymore information about what happened from Angel from her if she's willing to talk. I wish you would have invited her over, but I understand Javier told her he wouldn't tell anyone. But call his stank ass and see where he at, you know Adrian don't obey by the posted speed limits she shall be here soon." I said to will just as Adrian walked through the front door. Now all we need is Javier. "Javier next door." Will said. So that's why he's late. I hope he's getting information or I'm going to be disappointed.
Javier's POV
On the way to Will's house to strategize on how we're going to get justice for Angel, I decided to stop by her house to try to talk more about the situation. I rang the doorbell and waited until someone came to answer it. "Why are you here? Don't be stopping by my house." Angel remarked playfully. "I came by to talk to you about Orlando. I want to know more about what happened between you guys." I admitted. "Like, its nothing. Why do you keep asking about it?" This was going to be difficult I see. "I don't want him to get away with what he did to you and the guys don't either." I stated. "Why did you do that? I told you not to tell anyone!" She exclaimed. "I didn't make any promises." I reminded her. "Still, I told you not to tell anyone." She snapped. "I know, and I'm sorry. I told people who care just as much as I do. Even if we just met you today. We care about you." I assured. "How can y'all care about me and you just met me? You don't even know me. You know nothing about me." She retorted. "That's just us though Angel. We aren't all assholes. Maybe we are to the public, but when you meet someone as cool as you are you want to befriend them and care for them as one of your own people. We care for you as if we been down with you for a while because you cool as hell, and you are very different from other girls. We don't normally take to a girl like we took to you." I told her. "It's easy for someone to say that and not be down for you in the end." She pointed out. "I know it's easier said than done, but I'm willing to prove it to you Angelique. I really am." I promised. "If you say so." She replied.
