I was chilling in my room when Candace popped up on me. I was surprised she came over because it was mad early. I guess she wanted to check on me. "Hey girl! How are you feeling?"She asked. "I'm alright," I ensured her as she sat on the edge on my bed. We just chilled for a minute before she finally asked me what she's been waiting for since yesterday. "So are you going to tell me what happened," She brought up. Better now than never right. Plus it's been eating me up holding it in for so long. Candace was someone I could trust so why not tell her. First I told her all about our past history from when we lived in NY. Even all the crazy shit he made up about me. I took a deep breathe because I still was kind of iffy if I wanted to tell her the whole story or not, but I sucked it up. "So you remember the night we met right?" I asked her. "Yeah, Javi brought you to the club to get an outfit." she replied. "Okay so we were at a party, I went for a walk, and he followed me and raped me at a park," I quavered while trying to hold back tears. "Angel why haven't you told anyone? That is something serious." She said hugging me. "I told you," I sniffled. "Plus who else am I going to tell? Everyone else will just overreact and do something crazy," I whined as I rested my head on her shoulder. "He'll just do it again Candace," I cried. "It's not right he got away with this." She retorted. "Damn right." A male's voice said from behind my door. I basically jumped in Candace's lap because I was so scared. Javi slowly crept in my room. He was one of the main ones that I was worried would do something crazy. "I want to fuck him up so bad. He has no right to lay a hand on you." He said angrily. I looked over my shoulder at him. "But your not right?" I asked. I was sure I had the most frightened look on my face at that moment. I didn't wanna go through that again. "I'm not. I'll tell everyone else to back off of him too." He promised. "Why did he do it?" He questioned."Uh, Um. We got into a argument," I lied. I didn't know what to tell him. "I don't believe that. You argue with him all the time." He stated. "Javiii," I whined. "He did it because he thought I made you fight him that night," I sighed. "Wow." He said in disbelief. "I wish I could beat his ass again." He sighed. "No, no, no!" I whined. I sat up on my bed. "You have to promise me you won't do anything Javi!" I begged as I rested my head in the palms of my hands. "I don't even wanna think about going through that again," I whimpered. "I won't. I promise you. I'll leave him alone. It doesn't make any sense to me that he'd take it out on you. But that's him. He's the weak one in the end." He said sitting next to me and pulling me into a hug. "He's always been weak Javi," I confirmed hugging him back. "Well I got to go," Candace said out of nowhere. "Candace no I need you here," I complained. "I got something I have to do," she assured me. I sighed. I really didn't want her to leave me. I just pouted. "Alright,"I said then waved at her. "I'll stay here with you." Javi offered. Candace left. "Alright Javi," I approved."Did I ever tell you I'm happy to have a best friend like you," I smiled slightly. "Did I ever tell you that I'm lucky to have a best friend like you? I'll never stop being your friend. No matter what." He smiled back. "Now, I say we have some fun today." He suggested. "Okay," I approved. Grabbing my stuff, I went into the bathroom to get ready. "Where you want to go?!" He yelled. "I don't know somewhere chill because that's how I'm dressing," I replied yelling back in his direction. "We can go to the pier." He yelled back. "Fine as long as I don't get thrown in the water," I giggled remembering the time I was so mad at him. "You ready fruitcake?" I asked him. I grabbed some shoes out the closet and began putting them on. "I am actually. First time ever that I'm the ready one. I feel so good." He laughed. "Blah, blah, blah. That's all I'm hearing," I laughed. "Make it a habit then," I dared. "Your asking something of the impossible." He stated. "Let's go." He added walking out of my room."Hey! Wait! You know I'm short!" I yelled running behind him.

Adrian's POV

Today is going to be an interesting day. Serenity is dropping Micah off with me today and won't be back to get him until the morning. My mom doesn't like it one bit. "The baby probably isn't yours Adrian." She told me when I got downstairs for the third time today. "Mom. I told you already. Don't mention that when she gets here." I replied. "What girl has a baby and keeps this knowledge from the father for this long?" She questioned. "Those are good points mom, but I have to spend time with what could be my son." I remarked. "Okay, I still don't like that bitch. I had to witness you down and out over her. When will she be here? I don't want to see her face." She went on as the doorbell rang. "I'm going upstairs. Call me down when it leaves." She said angrily. I just laughed at how she was acting and went to open the door. "Hey A!" She greeted me eagerly as she walked in with Micah. "Okay, I'm going to lay it out for you," she said pulling out some stuff from the bag and showing me what everything was for. Then she handed me a schedule. "You need to follow everything up here Adrian. If you forget anything I told you just refer to this," She went on. "Oh if you need me call me. It's on the back of the list too," She continued. "And this is a list of everyone you can call if you need anything," She stated referring to a long list of numbers even 911. "Oh and-" She said before I interrupted her. "I got it Serenity. Plus my mom can help me out if I need any." I assured her taking the bag and the silly ass list. "Just making sure," she sighed. "He'll be fine. Go do something you can't do with Micah." I shooed her away from the door taking my son out of her arms. "Bye Micah," She said. Taking a deep breathe she kissed him on the cheek, then left.
