I was tired, today was Monday, and I was completely exhausted from staying up until one in the morning. I grouchily got ready to go to school, and then checked the mailbox for any mail. Ever since Philip accidentally told me about the package he sent me, I have been checking the mailbox for mail every single day.

I groped around in the mailbox for a while, and then retrieved a package that was around the size of a magazine. Yes! It's finally here!

I whipped out my phone and sent a short text to Philip.

Flynt - IT CAME!!!!

I excitedly ripped open the package while walking to school. After the packaging had been stripped away and thrown in the nearest trash can, I held in my hands a book, it was entitled:

Sike

Made by Philip Liu

I grinned and turned to the introduction, not even noticing that Emily was waving at me.

Dedicated to Flynt, my very best bro.

Some people in this world think they have it all, and it takes a miracle to change their opinion.

I then continued by reading the intro and the table of contents. Then I turned to the first chapter.

Thx for the DNA samples bro!

Emotionally Controlled Powers

Extra-ordinary people have the power to control their abilities by emotions. For example, if you have the power to control light, you can make a lazer by focusing on your anger.

The rest of the chapter had some different things about emotional connections with the ability you have, and also about how your power is a part of you, so if you didn't use it, it would eventually wither away, like muscles. There were a couple chapters about techniques and tricks you can do to control your power, and also about how to unleash shock waves. I also learned how to sense the water around me and use it to my advantage. It also explained there was a way to convert your original element into a different one, for example, change your rock form into a metal form, or turn your lightning form into a lightwave form. It was particularly intresting for me when it explained that you could go into someones body and control them, on the condition that you had the proper element, such as lighting or water.

Frankly, I was impressed that my friend could find out so much with just that one minuscule tongue sample I gave him. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised, as he does have a masters degree in chemistry. Philip, as far back as I remember, had always been at the top of the class, he even made it to college when he was around ten years old. Right now he was sixteen and was helping his parents pay the rent for their house. Definitely not your average teenager, I'm lucky to have such a smart friend like him.

The book also talked about an abstract skill called pure energy, it had the power to completely obliterate any target, but it was a costly skill, and could result in serious injury or death.

I was taken out of my concentration by Emily, who placed her hand on the page I was reading. I looked up and nervously smiled at Emily, who had a cross expression on her face. "It's not polite to ignore the person you have a crush on." Emily stated, while settling down in her chair. I put on a confused expression and replied, "B-but, I thought that saying went for everyone, not just you." Emily pouted, and then grinned. "Wait! So you only like me?" She exclaimed, obviously happy at the news.

Whoops! Aw man!

I realised my mistake and blushed a bright scarlet, and then I whispered, trying to make my reply non-hearable "Yes..." Emily smiled, and then started up a conversation with Alya, who was still trying to figure out who Ladybug was. Poor girl, she is the very best friend of Ladybug, and she doesn't even know it!

The teacher walked in, and class began. Adrien and Mari were late to class, and they both had a stupid grin on their faces, indicating that something had happened. Adrien winked at me while he sat down at his usual spot. That was the signal that the plan had gone as expected. I winked back as I pulled out my textbook for math. I tried as hard as I could to listen to the teacher, but she had no emotion with her words and it felt like she was teaching us because she didn't have a choice. So, like most people in this class, I zoned out.

Yo peeps! So if you don't know this, it is possible to like more than one person. If someone does like you right now, don't get to cocky, it could end up with them not liking you anymore.

So.... Is Philip the guy in the chair? That would be awesome, but sadly the internet connection between Paris and the US is pretty choppy.

Do you think any of these new capabilities with Flynt's powers will come in handy later on?

EDIT: Muahhahahah! I've changed the cover! It's now a very depressing looking book.
