Chapter 15: EVERYTHING!!!

Ladybug was enveloped in horror. She took in the terrible sight that was before her while slowly making her way over to Dragonfly. Syke was bending over her and had pulled her into a hug. Ladybug was about to place a hand on Syke's shoulder when he shot up, and turned his head to glare menacingly at the Chef. Ladybug watched in terror at what anger could do to someone, and despite Ladybugs efforts to stop him, he kept moving toward the Chef.

He's not calming down! He's going to murder the Chef! There's only one hope to calm him...

Ladybug rushed back to Dragonfly and checked for a pulse. To her relief, she could still feel blood rushing through her veins, but it was slow and faint. The earrings on Dragonfly started to give its familiar warning cry, and a few seconds later a brilliant light covered her body, detransforming her. To Ladybugs amazement, Emily was laying right where where Dragonfly had been. A little rainbow colored kwami popped out of the earrings Emily was wearing.

"We need to help her!" The kwami screamed, extremely panicked. "You! Ladybug! Take off your earrings and put on hers!" The little kwami ordered, while gesturing to the earrings on Emily. Ladybug swiftly took off her earrings, this caused her to instantly detransform herself with a bright pink flash of light. Then she took Emily's earrings and slapped them onto her ears. "Zzip! Wings out!" Ladybug, now Dragonfly, shouted. She placed a hand on Emily's wound, then she exclaimed, "Light 'em up buttercup!"

Let's hope this works!

A bright light covered Emilys chest. A few seconds later she broke out in uncontrollable spasms all across her body. Ladybug watched with relief as Emily started breathing again. Then Ladybug got up and went over to help Chat, who had Chef's still unconscious body slung over his shoulder and was trying to get away from Syke.

Ladybug flew over to Chat and then informed, "Emily is okay! We need to protect the Chef!" Chat nodded and shouted, "Cataclysm!" Then he touched the ground, causing it to rip apart like paper. A gaping hole formed between Chat and Syke, which caused Syke to grit his teeth in anger. He paced back and forth, like a lion waiting for a chance to eat.

Then Syke started to transform, except instead of turning into water, he turned into a mist! He was drifting across the gaping hole when Ladybug rooted herself to the ground and beat her wings as hard as she could, which pushed Syke away from them and into the sleeping body of Emily. Syke transformed back into his usual self in order to stop being blown away. Syke tripped over the body of Emily and fell backwards. He sprang up and his expression showed he was seething in rage. Then an icy grin replaced his anger, and he flicked his hand, sending a mist of water towards Ladybug and Chat.

What is he doing?

Suddenly the mist around them got colder and colder, and it started to cling to Chat and Ladybug like glue. They didn't realize what was happening until they were too late, and they froze on the spot like statues. Syke turned into a mist again and floated across, when he reached the other side, he visciously ripped the Chef out of Chat's freezing arms and repeatedly stabbed her in the chest. The blood from the Chef spurted out of her body and stained Sykes frozen hands. Then Syke threw the bloody body into the canyon. They heard a couple of thumps as the body fell towards the bottom. When the thuds stopped, Syke angrily acused, "Now that you're done saving the VILLAIN, maybe you can try saving AN INNOCENT PERSON FOR ONCE!!!"

Syke proceeded in unmelting Ladybug and Chat Noir, who were shocked and trembling at the fact that Syke could be so ruthless. Then they carefully carried Emily to the hospital, and found out she was in a coma.

They were about to split up and change back into their secret identities when Ladybug said, "Wait! We can't let this happen again. How are we supposed to protect the city when we can't even protect ourselves?" Syke and Chat looked at each other and then nodded in agreement. "The villains that we are facing are getting more and more harder to beat, I think Hawkmoth is refining his skills to destroy us. Meet me tomorrow at the Eiffel tower at 10:00 P.M. for training." "We'll be there." Chat and Syke said in unison.

Ladybug proceded in finding a place to hide and transform. After transforming back to her usual self, Mari, she gave the Dragonfly earrings back to Emily. Then Mari travelled to master Fu's house, greatly in need for some advice.

We need to stop this before it gets worse.

Hello! So... Emily's alive! Yay! I initially planned for Emily to be instantly healed, but my editor gave me the ingenious idea to stick her in a coma!

So... Syke is a murderer, pretty scary right? I think he has a split personality!
