Chapter 17: When it Rains, it Pours

It was time to leave, I slipped outside and poured into my suit. After doing so, I focused on my anger and sent it throughout my body. I felt a strange sensation come over me, like someone was ripping me into little pieces and making them lighter than feathers.

I felt myself slowly drift upward, and this was a signal that I had accomplished my goal, to become steam. I glanced down at my hand, which was now lightly opaque, but you could still see through it. Amazing...

I let myself float up until I became a cloud, then I swam over to the right air current I needed to go to. When I was around a block away from the Eiffel Tower I looked around for Ladybug and Chat Noir. After getting a little bit lower, I could make out the forms of Ladybug and Chat, and a third person, which I quickly found out was my uncle.

I reformed myself into water and rained down from the sky.

"Hello Master Fu!" I said cheerily, I didn't want to say "Uncle Fu" because if I did, someone could easily link me with my other identity. Uncle Fu nodded knowingly and spoke, "Hello Syke, I've heard you are new to the team of superheroes here." I smirked and said, "I felt very whalecome here."

Uncle Fu smiled and shook his head, then he stated, "Okay, now that everyone is here, we can begin training. Chat, you need to focus on your destruction and let it spread through the rest of your body." Chat nodded and went off to the side to practice.

Then Master Fu gestured to Ladybug and informed, "Ladybug, you have the power to create anything in your imagination. All you need is to concentrate and believe you can." The he turned to me and narrowed his eyes, "You need to control your anger, although that situation was uncalled for, what if you inflicted your anger on an innocent?" I smiled meekly and nodded, then he continued, "Sit here." He gestured to a spot in front of him.

I sat down and closed my eyes, then he instructed, "Practice changing into your different forms until I say you can stop" Then he went to Ladybug and started to help her.

I let myself slip into my subconscious, where my innermost emotions lie. I felt myself become overwhelmed with uncontrolable anger, and I could feel myself start to turn into mist. "Try to reach your deepest emotions and control them." I was overcome with hate, and then joy, and then laughter. Each negative emotion had a positive opposite.

I opened my eyes and saw my body fluctuating between the different states of water. One minute, my hand was made of water, the next, my hand was made of ice. I went between the different cycles of emotions, each time I changed it got harder and harder to control, and then, it happened. My thoughts started to spin around in my head, my emotions started to fade into each other. I lost all control of my form, all I could do was to watch as my essence started to go berserk. What's going on!? Why can't I control myself?!

"Syke! Stop!" Fu exclaimed, trying to shake me out of my subconscious. "You are going to destroy the monument!" I can't stop it!

In the next moment, I was a swirling ball of ice, hurling sharp icy thorns at everything around me. I watched as the sharp icicles whistled through the air at Ladybug and uncle Fu. Chat jumped in front of them and clenched his teeth. Then he created a thick black cloud of smoke, which instantly desinigrated any of the icicles that flew at it.

Ladybug threw her yoyo at one of the metal beams above her. The yoyo wrapped around the beam and tightened, providing Ladybug with the perfect means of escape. Ladybug grabbed the string and pulled on it, causing the yoyo to retract and pull her up. She expertly jumped onto the beam and then focused her attention toward me. I heard Uncle Fu direct her in making a fountain of water, and a second later I felt the ground shake around me and a water fountain form out of thin air. Water splashed all over my "body" instantly stabilizing me and giving control back to me.

I reformed and collapsed on the cement next to the monument, I was able to catch glimpses of Ladybug fainting and falling off of her position. I saw Chat catch Ladybug before she could hit the ground.

Then I blacked out.

The next moment I was in a hospital room, Uncle Fu, Adrien, and the rest of my family and friends were huddled around me. When I opened my eyes, I was hugged by Emily, who whispered, "You can't die on me either." I smiled and replied, "I wanted to join you."

I have an idea of how I want the book to end, but I'm not sure what to put in between.
