*a few months later*
School had flown by, it was already over halfway through the year and there was only 2 more weeks until graduation. Mark and Cath we're slowly getting closer and closer and I'm sure Mark will confess soon. Meanwhile Jackson and I got close as well, but lately he hasn't been at school. Before that, whenever I mention that Mark should confess, Jackson goes quiet. Maybe he's waiting for a confession from me? I haven't forgotten the kiss we shared months ago, but I'm too scared to talk about it with him. Whenever I talk about relationships his face has a sour look.

I sighed and got walked to work, having landed myself a job at the cafe Jackson and I went to on our first, and so far, only date. I had a frown on my face as I opened the door but I shook my head to clear my thoughts. He obviously wants to be just friends, that's all there is to it.

I sighed and slipped my apron over my head, before heading to the front desk, taking over the new shift. I served customers and delivered orders to tables for a few hours until I heard a familiar voice. It was Jaebum, the guy I had a crush on for a few years until I realised how much of a fuckboy he is.
"Hey could I please order a caramel macchiato?'

I nodded and quickly made his drink, taking it to his table as he handed me the money. I went to walk away as he grabbed my arm, turning me towards him. He handed me a slip of paper with his number on it and winked at me as I walked back to the counter. I slipped the paper in my pocket as I turned to greet a customer.
"You better throw that out"
It was Jackson. My eyes widened at his state, his hair was disheveled and there was dark bags under his eyes. I frowned at him and turned to make him a hot chocolate. I've learnt that he's not a fan of coffee, just like me. I handed him the mug and he continued to stare at me. I met his eyes and saw they glistened, but not with happiness. Instead they were filled with sadness, although he wore a smile on his face.

"Hey Stella! Your shift is over" my boss yelled. I nodded, taking off my apron as I turned to Jackson.
"Sit by the window and don't move" I demanded, heading into the back of the cafe to grab my bag.

I returned and sat across from Jackson as he slowly slipped his Hot Chocolate. My face dropped as I inspected his state. His hands were shaky and eyes droopy.
"When was the last time you slept?" I asked quietly, resting my chin on my hand.
"I-I'm not sure" he mumbled, glancing up at me ashamedly.
"I know you don't want to talk to me, so I won't ask you why. But you're staying at my house tonight, let's go." He nodded and followed me out the door, walking silently beside me until we reached my apartment. The elevator chimes and we stepped inside.

The silence following us all the way to my room, where we laid in silence as we tried to fall asleep.
"Hey Stella?" Jackson mumbled from his side of the bed. I hummed in response.
"I'm sorry" he said as he draped his arm over my waist. Soon, light snores were heard to my side and I sighed before slipping into sleep.
