the silly face beamed at me earnestly
with two slovenly scrawled-on eyes.
"Pffft."
Such a unique style...
For what reason had I been so nervous about it?
"How anti-climactic."
Feeling a bit weary from the prior suspense that was now obsolete,
I flopped down backwards onto my bed.
"Hm?"
When I turned over onto my side,
I noticed belatedly
that something else was written on the bottom of this paper.
Since the letters themselves were so light and obscurely placed,
I almost missed them.
