With all the School Shootings, Gun Control, and other things that have been happening, I've decided to write something that us as Christians should remember.
The whole Gun control thing is too controversial right now, but there is a way to stop this awful tragedy, before the gunman even touches a gun.

1.Pay Attention. Stand Up to Bullying
While bullying isn't directly linked to school shootings, it has its roots. Many School shooters have mental problems, which can make them seem odd. This is a great target for bullies. So if you see this happening, stand up to them. Protect the victim. Let them know you care. Remember, hurt people hurt people.

2.Hang out with the Loners
People in Parkland remember the shooter as being distant and a loner. If you see someone sitting alone at lunch or somewhere else, sit with them. Talk with them. Get to know them, because if you do, you can find out things about their lives that can help you know if they need serious help. They may not want to talk to you right away, but don't give up. Be kind and happy around them, and they may warm up to you. They'd like knowing someone cares. They may
think that the world is against them, which can lead them to bad places.

3.Learn About their Home life
If you do get close enough to the person, try to learn about their home life. Because often, school shooters have a rough history in their personal lives. The parkland school shooter's parents both died, and he was in the foster system, which isn't know for being that glamorous. The situation in their home life can effect their outcome, especially if their in an abusive or neglected situation. If you know their in a bad situation, tell a parent, teacher, or other respected adult.
