Officer Darren Young Peters was found dead this morning. A police officer who was patrolling the streets last night. It has been confirmed that it is another of Acid's work. The wounds, the handwriting on the wall, and of course the fact that the corpse was raped. Now that we add Darren Peters into the equation. All the victims have nothing in common. Darren is not socially distant from everyone like the rest of the victim. He is married with 2 kids. On top of that, he was patrolling with his partner last night, who is traumatized. We have reasons to believe he saw Acid. The victim and his partner both went missing last night. The police went looking for them and only found them in the morning. The partner, Officer Kyle Howard was found beside one of the dumpsters, trembling in fear with his gun on the floor. As of right now, I'm running out of options. How can the police protect the citizens, if they can be victims as well. However, at least now we know he has to attack at night. That seems like the only way he does his work. We are waiting for Kyle Howard to be mentally stable again so we can understand more on what happened. However, what I'm worried now is how did Acid know about the dream. Yes he was in it, but.. it was my dream. How could he know? So many unanswered questions. I am utterly puzzled. I am lost.
Where should I go from here? The obvious thing to do is to wait for Officer Kyle Howard to be mentally stable. But that could take weeks and I need to put an end to Acid. What pisses me off the most is the fact that he killed a police officer while they're the ones who are protecting people. It is like he made a mockery to us all. As if there's nothing we can do to stop him. And as of right now, there's nothing much that I can do but wait at home, smoking one cigarette after another while taking a sip of my 20 year old scotch that I've kept in case I get stressed out from time to time. Waiting, just waiting for my phone to ring in this dark, gloomy living room of mine. What is Acid's purpose? He has to have a reason. But what is it? What is his purpose? He does not demand anything. Not money, not power. His targets seem to actually be random people. The only thing he leaves behind is a message on the wall, written in blood. Message for me. He makes it like a game. A sick game where I have to catch him or everyone's blood shall be on me. I end up spending 3 days straight in my living room, drinking and smoking. 3 days without food, without sleep. I just can't get my mind to rest.
9.00 a.m. the next day. My ring tone went off. I checked and the call was coming from Hank. "Yes Hank?". He replied straight away "Kyle is ready to talk.". I felt relieved for a moment as this is the time, the only time we can find out what's going on, and possibly the identity of the serial killer Acid.
