Chapter 15

Hi, my name is Thomas Clarke. I'm here in this city because a private investigator that goes by the name Oliver Midnight called me. Asking for my help on what it seems to be the hardest case he has encountered. I was on my way to his apartment today to discuss about the case when I realize police officers are all around the premises. I went in his apartment to find that police officers are trying to make sense of what happened. His apartment was all messed up. Papers everywhere, sofas, tables, chairs are all around probably was flipped or thrown. These are signs of struggle. And that is when I walked into his bedroom to see writings on the wall, in blood. "The End -Acid". I later found out that Detective McCarthy called him a few times but he did not answer it. Resulting in him going over to his apartment to find this. We understand what it means. Last night, Acid has claimed his last victim who is Oliver Midnight himself. However, the part that I don't understand is that there is no body found. Lorenzo has decided to go back to Italy while Angel will be going back to his home country as well. And as for me? I guess I have no choice but to admit that I failed. I failed to help Mr. Midnight. I failed to save him. This is not something that I can forget easily.

2 days later, I'm back in London. Currently at a cafe I always go to, mainly to calm myself. A young woman's voice came out of nowhere while I was spacing out "Tommy!!! You're back!". She ran and hugged me. "I miss you so much! I'm glad you came back safe.". I looked at her and said "Told you nothing was going to happen to me. And you wanted to come along so bad.". She replied "Yeah, someone needs to take care of my Tommy.". It's good to be back home. I can rest my mind for now. I guess now that I'm back in the arms of my beautiful other half, I can move on from what happened easier. I held her in my arms, whisper in her ears the words "I love you". And thinking at least now I'm in a constant state of euphoria.
