Just like on every roller coaster ride. It will come to an end. I was at the peak of my life as a drug dealer. One night, Shane and I received an order, a big one. We had 3 of our men transport it to the meet up place as we just stay at our place and chill. We then found out from one of our people, that the 3 men were caught and it was all a setup. After a few weeks, one by one of our hideouts got raided by cops. Shane and I were running from one place to another. Hiding. But for how long can we keep running and hiding? A month later, Shane and I were caught in one of our most secluded hideouts. Turns out the 3 men that were caught ratted on us. They know every hideout of ours. I was interrogated by a very familiar face. He goes by Inspector now. Inspector Hank McCarthy. "What the hell happened to you Oliver?". I looked at him and said "We all change one day my friend. You told me to move on with my life, so I did". Hank looks upset as he is one of the people in the force who knows my capabilities. Hank, left the room with a sigh. Somehow, Shane and I was let out by them. They want Shane to be an informant for the police and Shane agreed to it. Hank brought me out for a drink that night and we talked about what could have been. "I'm sorry my irrational actions costs you your job. I know it was my fault but I could not just go to you and say sorry. You would have made a great officer, especially with your detective skills. I'm sorry I took that away from you.". "It's okay, I'm... I... Some part of me still want to be back on that path, but another part of me just want to do all this (referring to drugs and alcohol) to take away the pain. I don't know anymore.". Hank looks at me and said the words that got me back on track "Oliver, I believe you. You are born to do wonders. You can be a private investigator or something. At least I know who to seek help from when I'm in trouble. I'll support you as long as it's for the better.". I got home that night and reevaluate my entire life. It was a wake up call.

Ever since that night, little by little, I came back alive. Hank sent me to a rehab institute, to help me kick my drug addiction. Once I got out, I started cracking cases that the police couldn't. My name was all over the newspapers. "Private Investigator solves 8 unsolved cases", "Private Investigator Midnight cracks the New Jersey murder within 2 days!", and the list goes on. I had huge help from the police force, as Hank McCarthy is there. And I could get help from my buddy Shane for information within the underground scenes. I was back up there. It was tough, I still have a therapist to help me control my drug addiction. There are nights where I'll be out of control, I just crave anything, whether it's drugs or alcohol. I'll just try to control it with cigarettes as a replacement. It does help to ease down my nerves a bit. It's safe to say, I'm back alive.
