Rimdir of Erebor's POV.

After I finished she took my bowel and, I was feeling slightly sick but I didn't dare throw it up, for fear she'd make me eat more, she was getting curious about my family and asked all sorts of questions, "did you know your father?" "I knew of him, but no, I never met him." She looked down sadly,

"At least you have no pain of loss, when you think of him." I reached out and took her hand in mine, "I would rather the pain, than not knowing him at all." She nodded and asked another question, "do you have any siblings?" I nodded "yes, a younger twin sister." She smiled, "do you have an image of her?"

I reached into my coat and pulled out a locket with Nanath's and Nini's images in it and handed it to her. She opened it and gasped, "she is very beautiful." "thank you. Ever since we turned 40, the men looking for a wife have had asked me for permission to court her, but I get a strange feeling that she will not marry any elf or dwarf."

Éowyn looked at me, with confusion fixed into her features. "well before we came to Edoras, to help your Uncle, she rode off with the warriors from Rohan, a man with golden hair and hazel eyes had caught her attention and she asked my mother to go with him." Her eyes widened; now it was my turn to look at her in confusion,

"That was my brother. Éomer." I smacked the heel of my hand to my forehead. She giggled, "finally my brother has found someone to care for other than myself and our uncle." I nodded thinking the same thing. "Tell me of your homelands, I have never been anywhere other than Edoras or Helm's Deep."

I smiled at her and nodded, and then I shot into detail of everything I remember from Mirkwood and Rivendell, and my brief time in Erebor, visiting my cousin Dain and mom's friends from the company.

Aaralyn of Imladris's POV.

Legolas had fallen asleep hours ago and was now using my lap as a pillow, as I sat next to Aragorn, having a smoke while I ate an apple. He looked to be deep in thought, something obviously bothering him. Soon he leaned back on his saddle and drifted off. He mumbled once or twice, some 'I am asleep' or my sister's name.

I pulled his cloak up to his shoulders and he curled into the warmth, laying back, I did the same thing and slowly drifted off as well.

~in dream~

My eyes were closed but I knew where I was, the smell of stone and smoke, drifted around the room, I was laying on a small sunbed, my knees bent a little, my arms laying by my sides, I could feel the fabric of my dress, it felt like sheer silk, it was light and airy. Though the wind was fresh, I wasn't cold.

Turning my head, I looked to see who was standing by the window, staring at me, Thorin, smiled but my heart fell, "This is a dream." I couldn't stop the tears, from slowly falling; Thorin sat on the sunbed and leaned over me, and cupped my cheek and wiped away my tears."Then it is a good dream."

Holding his cheek like he held mine, I pulled his face closer so he could kiss me; his lips were soft and warm, on mine, something I missed very much over the last 60 years. I didn't hesitate to kiss him back with as much ferocity as I could muster, knowing I would be waking up soon. But he softly pulled away, and trailed him soft callused hands over my cheek,

"Sleep." He whispered, and kissed my forehead, sitting up, he stood and walked back to the window, opening my eyes again, l turned to look at him, "you once told me that I was needed," he turned around, his hands hung by his sides, "and a day would come where I would love again, without it hurting." Holding his elbows, he watched me.

Want, clearly shown in his eyes, "this isn't the end...we will have our day together again, whether it, be in the next lifetime or the one after." He sounded so sure, and I wanted to believe it, but being an elf, and having Longlife was not easy, especially if you're good at protecting yourself subconsciously.
