I went back to class, and walked in.

Sitting next to Braden, I whispered to him.

"He invited us to sit with them at lunch!"

He smiled at me. "But what about all of our fellow goths?"

I rolled my eyes. "They didn't even want to be seen around me. But they'll probably have their 'leader' try to talk you into sitting with them. They might recognize you, though."

He nodded. "I'll just have to lie about it, or tell them not to tell anyone. Keep my hood up and stuff."

I turned to where Jake and Adrian were sitting on the other side of me, and was about to speak, when the homeroom teacher came in.

Taking roll, he looked around, spotting the new faces, and waved them off.

We left to first period, which was Choir.

"Miss. Robinson is the teacher here. She's really sweet, and will make you guys audition, either in front of the class, or in a room." I whispered to them as we entered.

"Chelsea! You're back!" She rushes over to us. "And with new candidates! C'mon! To the back room." She ushers us to an empty room, and closes the door behind her.

"Any songs you want to sing? Or do I choose one?" She was looking at Braden.

"Do you have a guitar? I do better with it."

Miss. Robinson leaves, then comes back with a guitar, and hands it to Braden, who strums it, then speaks.

"I'll sing Scars."

Miss. Robinson's eyes light up. "Chelsea did that one too when she auditioned! She was amazing. Go ahead."

He strums it again, then plays the beginning note.

When he finishes, she is practically shaking.

"Oh my lord. That was amazing. Oh! There's a concert happening soon, and I want you and Chelsea to do a song of your choice in a duet. Or at least sing in front of the school! Oh do that one instead! You could do this song, and someone can do a presentation on depression!" She says the word to happily, and I look at Braden.

"Sure. We'll do it. Right Chelsea?"

I nod. "Yeah. It'll be perfect."

Jake and Adrian are next. "Uh, I don't sing. But they wanted me with my sister."

Miss. Robinson cocks her head to the side. "Sister? Who?"

I raise my hand slightly. "Me. We're half siblings."

"Oh, that's wonderful dear. Adrian too?"

I nod. "Yeah. Well, brother's best friend, but like another brother to me. And Braden is my boyfriend."

She smiles, and winks at me. "Good catch, dear."

I blush under my pale complexion, and we head out to the room.

A hush falls over the class, and Miss. Robinson speaks.

"Class, Chelsea is back. This is Adrian, Jake, and Braden."

The class welcomes us, and we sit in the back.

"So they won't notice me, will they?" Braden whispers in my ear.

I shrug, but don't answer.

I'm thinking.
