Katelyn's POV:

Time was up. I had been able to practice the lyrics twice before being called backstage. I was the last to perform. I could feel the main movie character inside of me pointing out all the cliches.

"And finnaly," Mylissa announched as the other girl walked off stage, "Katelyn with her version!"

I stepped out, my legs shaking under the high heels Aph made me where. I got angry at them half way and kicked them off without much audience reaction.

I took a deep breath before I raised the microphone to my lips.

"My variation of the song is called 'One more time' and I hope you enjoy it."

The music started to play.

I sung it much more confidenly then I'd imagined. The deep voice part was actually an accident. I didn't know that it was an auto tune mic so I accidentaly pushed the low button. I rolled with it though.

The round of aplause that came after was stunning. A standing ovation!

Mylissa called the other 4 girls back on stage and the audience began to vote.

Aphmau once made me watch an episode of Pokemon X and Y. It was about the stupidly oblivious main character's supposed love interest competting in a Poke-formance. The judging system from that was exactly like the one being used at that moment; the crowd using glow stick things to vote by selecting a colour that was accociated with the perfomer that they liked best. (Mine was blue naturally)

I shut my eyes, terrified of being the least voted for person.

I felt stage lights moving around, teasing the audience. Who will they stop at? When?

"The winner is clear," Mylissa said, "The winner is...."

Pause for dramatic effect.....

"KATELYN!!!!!"

I screamed as the audience applauded. I was so happy.

The dissapointed girls all gave me congratulatory hugs and high-fives.

"You will join the 9 other semi finnalists in one month to decide which 5 are the true finnalists!"

After that point, I tuned everything she was saying out. With the goofy grin on my face relaxing a little. My nerves faided to leave a sharp pain in my stomach.

I was fine with that.
