You pull up to the Byers place in less than five minutes. You see the boys and El gathered around their bikes with angry faces. You get out of the car and run over to them. "What's going on?" You ask and put your hands on your hips.

"Well, I stayed home today and I was showing El some of my things and she goes over to the glass case with our awards and pictures and she points to Will. Apparently she saw him," He says but that's clearly not it.

"She has powers! Telekinesis, telepathy, psionic shit!" Dustin says.

"Powers?" You ask, taken back. You look at her and she nods her head.

"She said she knew where Will was but she led us hear," he points to the house.

"So you don't know where Will is?" You ask, frustrated. They shake their heads. "So why the hell am I hear?"

"Because-" Dustin starts to say but is cut off by police cars rushing down the road. You all whip your heads around to the loud sound of rubber wheels burning the tar road. You jump in your car and peel out of the driveway with the kids hot on your wheels.

You pull up to the quarry and get out of the car. You hide behind a fire truck and peer out towards the water. The kids show up shortly after you do. They pop their heads out from behind you to get a good look. Hopper gets out of his car and quickly walks up to the water. People in the water pick up a body, about the size of Will's.

"It can't be him," you hear one of the kids mutter behind you.

"That's him. It's Will," another one says. They drag the body on a float to the water. It's Will.

"Oh my God," you whisper to yourself and hot tears drip down your cheeks. You can't bear to watch anymore, so you get in your car and leave the kids as they shout your name from behind you. They're choked up from their own crying. You ignore their whimpers, feeling guilty but you trudge on regardless. Getting in your car, you can see Mike verbally upset with Eleven. You back out and race home. Your driving is horrendous as tears stream down your face, clouding your vision. Sobbing, you speed into your driveway. The engine is loud enough to wake the entire neighborhood. You screech to a stop and get out of the car, running to your door. Once you're inside and the door is closed, you lean your back against it and crash down on the floor. With your arms wrapped around your legs and your head in your knees, you sob your heart out. You think back on memories of you, Will, and the party. You think about how you'll never be able to see his cheeky smile again or his cute face when he shows you his drawings because he knows about your love for art.

Suddenly, you hear a knock on the door, it frightens you and you get up to see who it is. Opening the door, you see Steve standing on your doorstep for the second time tonight.

"(Y/N)," he says softly, his expression changes rapidly as he looks at your teary face.

"Listen, Steve, I really don't feel like arguing with you right now," you say and sniffle while wiping your tears away.

"What happened? Is it your dad?" he asks concerned. It's strange hearing him sincere after how he accused you earlier.

"No," you say but choke up when more tears fall down your face. You can't speak, it feels like there is an elephant standing on your chest. Steve lets himself in and takes you in his arms. He cradles your head in his hand and keeps a firm hold on your back with his other as he presses you closer to him. He shuts the door with his leg and leads you over to the living room. He sits you on the couch with your head on his shoulder. Your arms are still wrapped around his waist.

"Take your time," he says, waiting for your story. You finally gather yourself together.

"After you left, Nance called and she claimed that I didn't care that Barb was missing. She basically just said that I was bullshit. Then, I get called over to Will's house through the walkie talkie. While I was there with all the kids, we saw police cars racing down the road. We followed them over to the quarry," you let out another sob. "They found Will's body in the water," your tears are wetting his shirt but he doesn't care. "And I saw his body. He's dead, Steve. He's dead," you keep repeating this into his shoulder as he holds you close. You're in hysterics and Steve rubs your back in calming circles.

"God, (Y/N),  I am so sorry," You feel a tear drip from his jaw, onto your forehead. He holds you tight and lays back on the couch with you cuddled up next to him. Eventually, the two of you fall asleep on the couch, exhausted from the crying. You're glad that you have someone to hold you and tell you that everything's going to be alright.
