Four POV
"Hi."

"Hi." We stare at each other for a short moment. It feels like I've known her but she doesn't look like anyone I've met. She is more beautiful than anyone I've ever seen before. Maybe this is good. I can finally get over Six. I'm glad Uriah and Zeke brought me to this thing. All I know is that at midnight, the masks are removed. Until then, I have myself a mystery girl.

Six POV
I can't believe this is happening. This is not something I do. Lynn didn't come. She's not as girly as the three of us. I look up at my new mystery boy. I feel like I know him, but I can't identify him. He seems very handsome. Maybe, just maybe, this is how I can get over Four.

"What's your name," he asks. I almost say Six, but I remember that I don't know him.

"Beatrice...but don't call me that! Call me Tris." I smile at him. He smiles back.

"You?" I ask.

"Uh...Tobias." At least I know he's not Four. I hear Christina squealing and I look at the girls. They are full of abnormal excitement.

"Will you excuse me for a moment?" I ask. "I'll be right back."

I walk over to Christina, Marlene, and Shauna. I stare at the giggly girls in frustration. "What?" I ask sternly.

"Never mind us," Marlene says. "Go talk to the cute boy who is drooling over you." I roll my eyes and walk back. He stands in the same spot.

"I'm sorry about that," I say. He waves his hand to the side to tell me not to worry about it. A new song turns on- 26.

"I love this song," Tobias says.

"No way! Me, too."

"Do you wanna dance?" he asks. I nod and take his hand. I hear the girls squeal again, but I walk with Tobias to the center of the auditorium.

We don't talk for a minute. We just dance. He finally breaks the silence with a question.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but have we met?" I squint my eyes, examining what I can see of his face.

"You look familiar, but I can't pinpoint it. It's really dark in here."

"Well...masks off in 2 hours," he says. I smile.

"I look forward to it." He twirls me in a circle and I laugh.

For the next twenty minutes, they play fast songs. I go back and dance with my friends and he is somewhere in the crowd. I suddenly hear one of my favorite slow songs, Too Good at Goodbyes by Sam Smith. I love all of the songs they play.

I turn my head for a moment to scan the crowd. When I look back, my friends are gone. I see who I recognize as the boy from earlier walk up to me. What was his name again? Tobias!

"I'm not stalking you! Swear! But would it be okay if I stole another dance?" I nod and we dance to the beautiful song.

He stares at me for a few minutes. I blush but he won't see through the darkness. I want to know who he is. Badly. He continues to stare and I laugh.

"What?" I ask with a giggle.

"I just enjoy looking at beautiful people."

"Then, why are you looking at me?" I ask. He looks at me with wide eyes and laughs.

"If it's okay with you, I'd like to meet up again at midnight. I'd like to know who Tris is."

"Okay," I say, "but don't expect much. I'm very anticlimactic. I didn't even do all of this." I wave my jeans downward, starting at my hair and ending at my shoes. "My friends made me into Cinderella for a night."
