YeRin Pov.

"You're a disgrace Kim YeRin!" My mother shouts at me as she vigorously paces back and forth in front of me. "She get's it from your side of the family!" She points at my father.

"Mother, if I may-"

"No you may not YeRin! I should have grandchildren by now and I should be living with you and SeokJin! But no, you have to go around parading your body to other men instead of your husband!" My mother shouts getting in my face.

I sink back into the couch cushion and feel my heart drop. My mother has always been a hard-ass but when she was mad, she never held her tongue. She was also sure to make sure you know what you did and or doing is wrong and you need to fix it right away.

"Mother, he doesn't love me.. and that's not my fault! I-Uh!" I gasp. My mother raises her hand and slaps my across my face with all her might. The sting in my cheek is nothing compared to how she used to beat me when I had a bad grade. I wish just once she would listen to me and treat me as her equal or even better, her daughter.

"You don't present yourself to him the way you need to." My mother hisses. "See your father?" She gestures to my innocent father who is just sitting in the corner listening to her badger on at me, as he does nothing to help. Or as I call it, the usual. "He and I had an arranged marriage and we never fought and we had a beautiful daughter who has stunning features and a very good education." She says placing her hands on her hips. "But there's one problem, do you think you can tell me what that problem is YeRin?" My mother interrogates me further.

"I am not desirable enough for my husband..." I say abiding to what she wants to hear.

"Yes!" She exclaims throwing her hands up in the air. "If you know that's the problem, how can you fix it?" She sits by me. She takes her arm and wraps it around my shoulder. "Better yet, why can't you fix it?"

"Mother, I try so hard but he just isn't interested in me." I try to tell her for the umpteenth time.

"SooYoung, maybe we should just see if she could try and be with someone like Bae SeongEun." My father finally speaks.

My mother releases me and places her hands together at her lap. "MinHyuk, this marriage was arranged for a reason." My mother reminds him.

"Yes dear, I know that." My father sits up scooting closer to the edge of his chair. "I've talked to SeokJin's father and he knows that his son... well.. SeokJin is gay SooYoung."

Finally! I have a father that is going to come to my aid and stand up to my mother alongside me. I've tried and tried and tried to tell my mother that SeokJin is interested in men and not me for over two years now and hopefully hearing it from dad it will help her finally understand that it's not me, it's what he's actually attracted to. With these thoughts racing through my mind I turn my attention back to my mother.

My mother says nothing but I can't read her expression. "When exactly were you planning on telling me this information?" My mother questions with a snotty attitude.

"When you were ready to listen." My father says rubbing his forehead. "I think you should take the divorce that he offered." My father advises me.

I look to my mother who is scolding my father for (most likely) the way he talked to her. "What do you think mother?"

She slowly turns her head to look at me. The way she turned her head reminds me of how Regan from'The Exorcist' twist her head around. "What do I think?" she glares at me. "I think your father should've never met SeokJin's father, if he wouldn't have met him you would've married Bae SeongEun."
