NO CATS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS CHAPTER.
FIVE MOONS LATER
"Amberkit!" Fernpelt yelled annoyed. "Get back here!" "You need to be clean for when you meet your father!" "At least be clean for your first meeting!"
"I'm clean! Leave me alone!" Amberkit yelled back while trying to run away from her mother's tongue.
Fernpelt was frustrated. "Not enough!" "Come here!"
5 MINUTES OF CHASING LATER
"Great! Now that I shine more than Silverpelt itself, Falconwing won't even recognize me." Amberkit said sarcastically.
"Oh don't be so dramatic." Fernpelt laughed.
There was a rustling in the bushes. And Fernpelt turned around.
"He's here!" She exclaimed happily.
"Where is he?" Amberkit asked.
"Right over there!" Fernpelt pointed with her tail towards a hole in the bushes at the front of the camp.
A group of 5 cats walked into the camp with a piece or two of freshkill in each of their jaws. They all walked over to the freshkill pile and dropped their prey onto it.
In the group of cats one cat stood out to Amberkit. He was looking around the clearing. As if searching for something.
He was a big muscular tan tom with amber eyes. What stood out to Amberkit the most though, was the two long scars that trailed from the bottom of his neck, down both of his shoulder blades, to the middle of his back.
"Woah.." Amberkit exclaimed.
She turned to her mother, to see that she was also looking at the scared tom.
"Who's that? And how did he get those scars?" She asked in concern.
Fernpelt looked down at her daughter.
"That's your father Falconwing." "He got those scars from when he was an apprentice."
"He was a very small apprentice. He was barely bigger than a 6 mooned kit, while he was 10 moons old.""He was standing in the clearing one day, and a falcon swooped down into the clearing in search of prey, the falcon dug it's claws into the back of his neck and dragged him into the sky. He thrashed around and was able to slip out of the falcon's grasp. The falcon's claws raked down his shoulder blades and back, until it lost it's grip on him and he fell out of the sky, and landed in the branches of a tree. The branches couldn't hold his weight for long and he fell out of the tree and onto the ground. He spent 3 moons in the medicine den healing until he was able to become a warrior. His name was originally Perchpaw but Shadestar gave him the name of Falconwing to honor the memory of Falconwing's battle with the falcon. And to show how strong Falconwing became because of the falcon. That story is still told by the elders to the kits to this day."
"That's horrible..." Amberkit replied, saddened by the story of her father's pain.
"No need to worry dear, he got better and became stronger so that it would never happen again." Fernpelt soothed Amberkit while wrapping her tail around her daughter's back in a loving manner.
"How did you fall in love with him?" Amberkit asked, happy to know the beautiful love story of her parents.
"Well he was healing in the medicine den for 3 moons. And at the time I was the medicine cat apprentice to Featherpelt. I had to help Falconwing with his recovery. Helping him be able to recover from the shock and trauma. And to help him get used to how to walk and run with the scars, how to hunt, and just help him recover his health. We became close over those 3 moons and fell in love with each other. We had to keep our relationship a secret though, since he was a training to be a warrior and I was training to be a medicine cat. And it is forbidden for a medicine cat to have a mate or kits. Since it distracts them from their duties. Featherpelt eventually found out and forbid me from seeing Falconwing at all. I argued with him. Saying that if I had to be serperated from Falconwing just because I was training to be a medicine cat, then I would quit. Featherpelt was furious. He had trained me ever since I was able to walk into the medicine den. When I was a kit he saw my love for herbs and treating cats. So he trained me to be a medicine cat since I was a kit. He was like a father to me since I had no parents. They died when I was born and I was found by Featherpelt when he was looking for herbs and was taken by him to live in Shadeclan. He practically raised me from birth. So he was furious that I would give up my dream and love of medicine for love. He was angry but he wouldn't force me to do something I didn't want to do. He told me that he understood. Since he had gone through something very similar. But it didn't end well. I was shocked he told me even a tiny bit of his life before the clans. Since he was very secretive about his past. And whenever I would ask him about his past he would get sad and would not reply. Only focusing on treating a cat. I was glad he told me something at least. He let me quit being a medicine cat apprentice. We are still very close though. I visit him every chance I get and I sometimes help him and his new apprentice Krestalpaw with treating cats. I was happy when Featherpelt helped me when I gave birth to you. He was so happy when you were born. He was also happy that I was happy. He checked on you every chance he got, and was crazy about making sure you were healthy. And Falconwing and I spent every moment together. We wouldn't leave each other's sides. We became warriors together and had you.
"Wow..." Amberkit awed in amazement at the story.
Fernpelt laughed and turned towards where Falconwing was standing and looking around the clearing.
"Falconwing!" "Over here!" Fernpelt yelled to Falconwing.
Falconwing turned around and smiled when he saw his mate and kit.
He trotted over to Fernpelt and sat next to her. He licked her cheek in greeting.
Falconwing then looked down at Amberkit.
"You've grown so much since you were born Amberkit!" He said happily.
"T- thanks Falonwing!" Amberkit stamered.
"Oh Amberkit!" He chuckled. "Don't worry I don't bite!" Falconwing laughed.
"I know!" "Your just so cool!" Amberkit exclaimed in awe.
Fernpelt and Falconwing laughed at their daughter's enthusiasm.
Sorry for the short chapter. It's basically just back stories and this is kind of a filler chapter.

👉🏻👈🏻I have hundreds of OC's and have lots of ideas for stories for them. Should I list some of them and a bit of backstory for them? Just thinking that when I'm done re-editing this book and done going through this book looking for any mistakes or parts I want to re-write, I want to post some short stories featuring my OC's. Just a thought. Let me know your opinions.💕
