Tired of disclaimers. If you have gotten this deep into the story than you my friend must obviously enjoy boyxboy.
Enjoy
Chapter 8:
I nibbled on my fries absentmindedly. Angela sat beside me talking up a storm and Edmund politely listened and nodded. I learned a while back how to tune out Angela . It was like second nature.
"How do you enjoy work Joseph?"
I snapped out of my daze and looked up meeting amused gray orbs.
"Uh...I don't particularly like my job. But who does?"
He nodded in agreement and took a long sip from his chocolate shake, his eyes still locked with mine. He released the straw his tongue catching a stray droplet. I swallowed dryly my eyes dropping to the table.
"Curr!"
I looked up locking with green orbs.
"What the hell are you doing out here? I've been looking for you this whole time. We have three meetings and we are on the verge of being late. Get your ass up and lets go."
"Y-you dropped me from meetings."
"Yes and I put you back on yesterday. Now get up and let's go."
"B-but I just got l-lunch."
His eyes darkened his fingers twitching.
"You can eat lunch at the meeting now let's go."
My gaze lowered and I began pulling on my jacket and gathered my food.
"S-sorry. Have to go work." I turned to Edmund. "Thank you for coming and eating lunch with me."
Johnson's gaze flickered to Edmund and his eyes narrowed.
"Who are you?"
Edmund sat back his posture perfect.
"A friend of Joseph's and you are?"
"His boss."
My gaze flickered between the two as they just stared at each other in silence. Edmund stood and walked over to me his head dipping so he could whisper in my ear.
"I'll see you tomorrow morning. Keep your evening open on Saturday."
He pulled back and nodded towards Angela and then towards Johnson. His gaze flickered back to me.
"See you later Joseph."
