The planet expanding before Lance was amazing. It looked similar to Earth, with oceans and lands, he could tell that, but something about it just didn't seem normal.
A presence.
He could sense it, more than one, in fact. Something like a tingle in the back of his head. He couldn't tell what it was, but he knew it was important.
Lance wished he knew what it was, it felt significant, pounding him in the head. "There's a castle up ahead." The blue lion landed.
"Keep your guard up," Shiro warned as they left the lion. "Something wrong?" Pidge questioned. "My crew was taken by aliens once. I'm not gonna let it happen again." Shiro promised.
Lance was hardly paying attention as the lights lit up the castle they were now standing in. He felt at home as he strolled through the halls with the rest of the team. They made their way into the control room when the pods came through the floor.
Lance gasped, a shudder going through his body. "Are these guys... Dead?" Came Hunk's voice.
Suddenly, they opened. "Father!" Came a cry right next to Lance. It was a girl with luscious white hair that fell down lower than her waist. She fell into his arms.
"Who are you? Where am I?" She looked up at him. Lance could feel something, looking into her bright blue eyes.
She was the girl from his dreams.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Allura's POV*
Those deep blue eyes, Allura would know them anywhere. But, something wasn't quite right.
"Your ears! They're hideous! What is wrong with them?" "There's nothing wrong with them! They heard exactly what you said about them!" The boy seemed defensive.
His eyes, skin, and hair matched, but where were the markings? Why did his ears look like that?
"Who are you? Where is King Alfor? What are you doing in my castle?" Allura gushed, terrified and confused. "A giant blue lion brought us here that's all we know!" The strange boy yelled.
A giant blue lion brought us here...
A giant blue lion...
Blue lion...
Allura had to stifle a gasp. "How do you have the blue lion? What happened to its paladin?" She had to pause, and a horrifying idea came into her head.
"Unless... How long has it been?"
The tallest one out of the group of humans, a muscular male with salt and pepper hair stepped forward. "We don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you tell us who you are? Maybe we can help."
"I am Princess Allura of planet Altea. I've got to find out where we are and how long we've been asleep." She activated the pad with her hands. The lanky boy she'd been in the arms of earlier looked like he'd been hit.
A short bit of researching later, Allura gasped. "It can't be."
Coran, his father's advisor, who had just come out of his sleeping pod, asked, "What is it?"
"We've been asleep for 10,000 years!"
Allura remembered her father telling her that they couldn't fight. They had to hide the lions. She had refused, and he had pushed her unwillingly into a pod.
This was a week after they had taken her brother.
"We must send him away, Allura. War is no place for an infant like your brother."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Allura could speak to her father once more, and his advice was everything she needed.
She knew what she needed to do. "You five paladins were brought here for a reason. The Voltron Lions are meant to be piloted by you and you alone. We must fight and keep fighting until we defeat Zarkon. It is our destiny. Voltron is the universe's only hope. We are the universe's only hope."
Allura watched as each of their expressions hardened. Each of them was determined.
They were ready to form Voltron.
