(Allura POV)
Allura was happy for the first time in what felt like forever. She was with her brother again. Although, she couldn't help but notice the looks that Keith gave Lance. It was obvious that the red paladin liked the blue one.
Everything was fine for a while. Allura was happy with her brother, Coran, and the rest of the team. Until it all changed.
The paladins were all fighting in their lions. They were attacking a fleet of small Galra warships. There wasn't a big enough threat to form Voltron. "I've opened a wormhole for you all, you've obviously won, they're retreating." If only she knew how wrong she was.
"Lance!" Keith called. He was surrounded by some Galra ships. Lance smirked and piloted his lion over there. Allura watched, anxious. "You guys should try to get to the wormhole, it's going to close soon." She warned.
"We'll be fine," Lance assured her. He helped Keith out of the situation. The lions all flew into the closing wormhole. Another win.
"Good job paladins!" Allura couldn't contain her happiness. "Can we go get food now?" Hunk asked. "Is everyone okay?" Shiro seemed unnerved.
"I'm good," said Keith. "Me too." Came Pidge's voice. "Lance?" Shiro asked.
Lance didn't respond.
"Lance?! Are you alright?"
Lance, still, did not respond.
Static came from his side. But then...
"Help!" It was distorted and quiet but was definitely Lane. "Where are you?" Shiro was panicked.
Static.
More static.
Silence.
Allura could feel tears pouring out of her eyes. "Lance!" She cried.
Allura couldn't feel his presence, which meant he wasn't at all near them. "It's my fault!" Came Keith's choked voice. "It's none of our faults," Shiro said firmly, "No one but the Galra's."
And that was that.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry it's so short! I'll try to have 7 out today! Some captured!Lance POV maybe?? I'm not sure yet.
