(Keith POV)
Keith was about to reach level 210 on the training deck. He knew it wasn't good to train so late at night, but he couldn't sleep anyways. He always imagined that the robot was one of the Galra who had imprisoned Lance.
He slashed the head off of one of the robots. Another charged at him and he dodged it's fist clumsily, barely managing to cut its arm off. Keith felt tired, but he knew he couldn't stop. He punched another robot that was running towards him. Pain shot through his arm, but he tried to keep fighting.
"Keith?" It was Shiro. "Computer, end simulation!" He yelled, turning to Keith. "What's wrong with you?!" Keith felt anger boil up inside of his stomach. "You need sleep," Shiro decided. "No, I don't!" Keith protested, turning away from the tall man. Shiro grabbed Keith's arm.
"You're going to sleep, whether you like it or not." Keith felt himself giving in, "Fine."
Soon, Keith was fast asleep, calm and happy.

(Lance POV)
Lance was not happy, calm, or asleep. Quite the opposite. He was shivering, much too cold for his liking. This was a new torture. Lance would never give in, however. He cared for his team too much.
So, here he sat. In the middle of the night, slowly freezing to death. Lance hated his cell with every fiber of his being but knew that Blue was probably in a worse state. He figured that his team would leave him, but that was fine.
All he cared about was them. It was only for them.
Just them.
He would die for them anytime they asked.
Only them...
A jolt of pain went through Lance as he thought.
He thought about how much he loved his team.
How much he loved his family.
How much he missed both of his families.
Tears gushed down the poor boy's face as he lay there.
The silence was deafening.
The worst thing in the world.
It smothered his ears.
The darkness was impenetrable.
It covered his eyes.
The smell of blood was much too sharp for Lance.
He wanted to go home...
As Lance sat in the cell he remembered a quote that he'd read once. It had been his favorite for a long time.
In the hopes of reaching the moon
Men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet.
Lance felt like he was the man who couldn't see the flowers at his own feet. Too ambitious for his own good.
He was too busy thinking about the future. Wondering about the moon.
Lance hadn't even thought about his own planet.
He had wanted to go to space.
The beautiful place. Filled with stars.
Not the beautiful planet, filled with life.
But now...
There were no humans.
There were no animals.
There were no oceans.
There were no plants.
There were no flowers.
There was no life.
He hadn't seen the flowers. Now, it had backfired.
