A Divergent Dream Come True

Chapter 4

Lilly's point of view

I wake up to a headache. My head has hurt for a while. I try to open my eyes, and after trying a few times, I finally open them. I see that I'm in a hospital like room. I must be in the infirmary. All Dauntless hate this place. I look around and notice Tris coming in.

"Hi," she says.

"Hey," I said. I can't say anymore because my head is throbbing. Tris and I are silent until a nurse comes in. She takes one look at me and grabs some pills. I guess they're pain killers. She takes out a cup from a drawer and fills it with water.

"Take this, it'll help your head stop hurting," The nurse orders me. I obey her. The pills taste like lemon. I take another sip of water and lay back down. I feel the pills doing their job, but I also feel sleepy so I take a nap.

I hear voices outside. I peer out the door and see Four and Tris talking.

"...We need to get her a job and an apartment of her own. We need to get back to work." Four says.

Tris nods her head.

"Let's wait until she is feeling better. You're the one who put her here," Tris says and Four nods.

They come back into my room and see me awake. They set down into a chair.

"We need to ask you a question," Four says.

"Are you telling the truth? I've thought about what you said. And, I'm sorry I hurt you," He says.

"I'd never lie to you," I reply.

He nods.

We watch tv for a little bit. We watch the news channel. Apparently, someone stole from the Amity. Strange. There is one report on the Erudite figuring out a serum that could put people to sleep. I watch it until it's over. I look over to where Four and Tris are, and they're asleep. Four holds Tris close and they look happy. When I see them sleep, I fall asleep as they wake up.
