A Divergent Dream Come True

Chapter 10

Lilly's point of view

Tris and Four asked me if I wanted to go to Zeke's party. I said yes because I could tell they wanted to go, plus I get to learn about other characters in Divergent. As I walked through the door, I could tell that Tris and Four were prepared. I saw fruit punch on one table and pizza on the other. There was a tv with a dancing game on like the just dance games. Zeke started to come over to us.

"Hey Tris, Four, and Lilly. Glad you could make," He says.

"Glad to be here," Four replies.

I see Uriah and he sees me. He starts to walk towards me.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a minute," He asks.

"Sure," I said.

We walk over to some chairs in the corner.

"So, what did you want to talk about," I ask.

"I...uh...wanted to tell you...that...I think I have feelings for you," he says slowly. I'm shocked. He likes me. He likes me! Wow, didn't see that coming.

I look at him with shock.

"Uriah, I think I have feelings for you, too," I say.

He scratches the back of his neck. He's nervous. I remember Four doing that.

"Lilly, would you go on a date with me," he asks.

"YES, I'D LOVE TO," I sequel. I'm so happy, so happy.

He gets up, and walks to his friends. I go back to Tris. She's with Christina and Will. Four went over to talk to Zeke.

"Hey, are you enjoying the party," Tris asks.

"Yea, I love it," I reply.

"So, Lilly, how have you been,"Christina asks.

"I've been great," I say. I don't want to tell her about the chasm incident. It's hard to talk about.

"Well, good. I'm glad you settled down okay," She says.

"Thank you," I say.

I hear Zeke's voice, so I turn toward the sound.

"Okay, I dare one of you to a dance battle," Zeke yells.

"If you can get through a dance, I owe you cake, dauntless cake," Zeke continues.

Everyone shouts and pumps their fists.

"Who's it going to be," Zeke asks.

Silence. Well, I guess dauntless don't like to dance. Suddenly, I can't hold it in and say:

"I will"

Everyone turns to me. They make a path for me. I walk towards the dance floor. As soon as I'm up there, I remember that I can do this.

"What song do you want," Zeke asks with a grin.

"How about...Feel this moment by pit bull," I suggest.

Zeke grins and turns on the song. I see the screen behind him light up. A dancer shows me the moves, and I mimic them as best as I can. Then, I feel so good I sing along.

"I just wanna feel this moment. ohhhhohhhhhh. I just wanna feel this moment..." I sing the rest of the song. The dauntless are pumping their fists and shouting. I like this. It's so much fun. I wish I could do this more often.

As soon as the song ends, I get a drink of fruit punch.

"Looks like I owe you cake. I thought no one would do the bet," he says, obviously impressed. I smile. I can't help it. Zeke owes me cake. That's cool. He walks away and Uriah comes to me.

"Good job," he says.

"Thanks," I reply.

I wait a minute before I say something.

"I think I'm going to go home," I say to Uriah.

"Okay. Can I walk with you," He asks.

"Sure," I say. We get up and walk out the door. We go down the hallway and get to my apartment.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow," I said.

"Okay, bye" he says and walks away.

I close the door and go to my bedroom. I put my pajamas on and go to bed.
