Tris's point of view
Tobias and I were asleep, together. I woke up before he did. Lilly was asleep, I think. I got up and walked out of the infirmary. I headed toward the cafeteria to get some food. I grabbed a hamburger, fries, and cake. I grabbed Tobias the same thing as I was eating. I went toward the door, but Uriah stopped me.
"Hey "He said.
"Hey," I replied.
"How's Lilly," He asked.
"She woke up," I said.
He nodded and went the opposite direction of me. I went back to the infirmary. I looked inside Lilly's room, and she was still asleep. I look at Tobias. He's awake, looking at me.
"I brought you something to eat," I say.
"Thanks," He says.
I give him the plate of food and he starts to eat. I do too. When I'm about to eat my cake, Tobias takes a bite of mine.
"Hey," I whine.
He smiles and I eat another bite. He fake frowns and takes another bite.
"Get your own cake, cake stealer," I joke.
We finish the cake and we are full. I check to see if Lilly is awake. She isn't. I set back down with Tobias and see he's looking at me with a grin.
"What," I ask.
"Each day, I wake up seeing you. I see your beautiful smile, and I feel happy inside. I'm so lucky see you everyday," He says.
As soon as he says that, I kiss him. He kisses back. I'm glad He's mine and I'm his. I'll always be here. I'll always love him no matter what comes our way.
