MAYA POV
We stopped off at a rather dull looking house. What a surprise! The roof and the walls looked completely worn down and bits were hanging off the edge. It looked like it would collapse any minute now. It was in the middle of nowhere as there were no houses or cars around. I help Lucas lift Cameron up out of the car and follow him as he makes his way over to the strange house.
Lucas uses his free hand to pound hard 3 times on the door. And I say POUND and not KNOCK. Man he looked pissed but he was still deep in thought and I really wanted to know what his problem was. I heard a grunt followed by heavy footsteps making their way over to the door. It opened to show a tall guy with black hair styled into a quiff at the top of his head. He too had tattoos all over his arms and several different piercings just like everyone else in this area. His face showed signs of fatigue and irritation but he quickly shook this off when he saw Lucas and Cameron. His eyes turned to me and he inspected me up and down before giving a questioning look to Lucas. Lucas only shook his head indicating he would explain later.
“Hey Farkle, you know what to do.” Lucas says pointing his head towards Cameron. The guy who I was assuming to be Farkle nodded his head and stepped aside allowing us to enter the house.
“Lay him down on that sofa over there and I will go get the stuff.” Farkle instructs us while pointing at a red torn up sofa. We gently lay Cameron down on the sofa and Lucas grabs a pillow and puts it under Cameron's head for more support.
“How will this Farkle guy help Cameron?” I ask curiously. Lucas hesitates first and then sighs.
“Farkle has experience in medical and healthcare. He always heals us up and does all of that kind of shit.” Lucas replies.
“What so he’s like a doctor in your gang?” I press. He chuckles before replying.
“Yeah I guess you could say that.” Well he admits he is part of a gang. Good going Maya! Lucas seems to find my realisation quite amusing as his signature smirk starts to grow. He always seems to find everything I do funny and it’s quite creepy.
Farkle soon returns with all different kinds of bottles and bandages. He sets them down next to the sofa before turning towards me and Lucas.
“You guys need to leave the room for me to do this.” Farkle says shooing us away. Lucas rolls his eyes and walks off somewhere in the house. I have no choice in also leaving the room. I have no idea where everything is in this house. I guess I will do some exploring then. I walk aimlessly down the narrow corridor and notice a door at the end of it. I frown upon it. It was a very strange place to have a door. I know I probably sound really weird saying that but it just looked so strange. I slowly walk towards it hoping not to be heard by anyone. It looked like the kind of place that I shouldn’t be going in but I couldn’t help myself.
However I am suddenly pulled forcefully into one of the doors on the side of the corridor. It takes me a moment to process where I was and what just happened. I look up and am met by the all too familiar green eyes. He still looked deep in thought even now. What the hell is he thinking about?! I takes me a moment to realise how compact the area we were standing in was. It looked like some sort of closet. This made me and Lucas practically standing chest to chest. I try to move back but I am stopped by the back wall of the closet. I feel like a mouse being hunted by a lion. I gulp but stand my ground.
“What’s wrong Lucas?” I ask confused by his overall behaviour.
“Who the hell are you?!” he asks between gritted teeth. Is that what he has been thinking about all this time?!
“Well if you wanted to know my name, you could just ask nicely.” I say while crossing my arms however this angers him even more. Genius Maya because pissing him of will really help!
“It’s not just your name I want to know. I’ve met you before I know I have! I just can’t seem to remember how or when.” He growls. My eyes widen but I quickly shake this off. He cannot under any circumstances know who I really am. Shit! He’s onto me. This is just brilliant. I fake a confused look.
“I’m sorry. I really don’t think I’ve met you before. I’m Katy if that helps at all.” I lie. His face drops for a second as he takes in what I had just told him. But a second later his anger seeps through again.
“Don’t you DARE fucking lie to me you bitch! Where the fuck have I seen you before?!” He shouts at me at the top of his lungs. Oh crap…. What the fuck do I do?! He could rip me to pieces especially in this tight closet.
“I TOLD you I had no fucking idea who the hell you were until I met you in Starbucks!” I shout back at him hoping he would believe me. His face suddenly drops again and becomes emotionless. I am left staring at his wide green eyes. What the hell is his problem? Is he seriously bipolar? Maybe I should get Farkle to check him out.
Suddenly, I feel a pang of force across my left cheek. I quickly grab at my now throbbing cheek and look up at Lucas. His hand was held out to his side from where he had just hit me. Did this motherfucker just slap me?! WTF?! His face was again emotionless. I give him a look of horror mixed with anger before practically yanking him out of the way to give me an exit out of this hellhole.
“Katy…” Lucas calls. But I completely ignore him. It took all of my strength not to just punch him back in the face but I knew that would only make the situation worse and then I would also have to end up being taken to Farkle. I hadn’t noticed until now that I had tears streaming down my face.
I raced down the corridor. I didn’t know where I was going to go but I did know that I needed to get out of this house.
However before I could grasp the handle on the door, I felt an arm yank me back and I fell into a hard chest…
