Most of my morning lessons were alright: Psychology, English and physics. I saw a few of the people I knew in my classes. All of my teachers were okay, and didn't bother me too much, apart from one, my English teacher, who asked me to introduce myself. I hate that.
"Um... hi? I'm Keith Kogane. I transferred from a school in Arizona. I um- yeah." Why the hell am I so awkward in front of lots of people?
Anyways I found a seat next to Pidge, which unfortunately also put me next to Lotor. He was strangely quiet during the lesson however. Pidge talked to me a few times during the lesson, but she mostly laughed about Shakespearean insults with the girl the other side of her, who was called Narti.
After class, I talked to Narti a bit. She was tall (like seemingly everyone else in this goddamn school), very smart, and was blind. Pidge told me that she had a cat that she kept at school, because whenever she went away, the animal somehow found her.
No one actually knew if Narti was joking or not when she said that she could see through the cat's eyes. Then I had Physics, it was one of my favourite subjects, and our teacher seemed cool.
After Physics, I had Lunch, and sat with everyone, including Lance and Lotor. Lance was annoying as ever, Lotor coming a close second. I wouldn't be surprised if either of them were my enemy.
Lotor seemed weird and kept staring at me every few seconds. I felt like asking what his problem was, but I didn't want to start something.
Shiro boasted about how I had joined Kerberos, and some part of me lit up at the proud tone in his voice.
Lance put an arm around Lotor and smiled snarkily.
"I guess you're our enemy aswell then." He said. Soon after, Lotor budged him and gestured to the exit, and they left. Very strange, what was up with those two?I found out more about some of the students after that, especially Shiro and Matt, when Pidge asked me to "make sure my brother isn't doing the horizontal tango with Asian Dwayne 'the rock' Johnson."
Everyone on the table apart from Shiro and Matt laughed so hard that we thought Hunk was going to throw up from laughter. Pidge looked very pleased with herself.
On a sadder note, I was somewhat jealous that Shiro had found his soulmate. I wish I had someone I could trust like that, someone who loved me for me. I've been starved for intimacy for pretty much my whole life.
Even though my mom was back now, family isn't the same.

"Wh- what? Are you sure?" I stuttered, gripping the duvet so hard my knuckles turned white. Lotor obviously saw how nervous and shocked I was.
"Yes. I'm sure. He said it at the start of English, Keith Kogane, I'm absolutely certain it's him."
Lotor replied, definitively.I felt a strange feeling that I couldn't explain. We had found him. One of the names on Lotor's wrist. Both of the names on mine.
"Do you think he's your soulmate or enemy?" I asked, sure as to what the answer was.
"Enemy. Because I- well I just have a hunch. I have a bad feeling about him."
"He's... he's definitely your enemy." I replied, immediately regretting it.
"Oh? Why are you so sure?" Lotor replied suspiciously. Was this where the truth came out? I really didn't want it to be like this. What if he judged me? I could already see the knowing look in his eyes though.
I guess I had no choice."Because well, someone can be more than one person's enemy but only one persons soulmate right? Well..." I licked my thumb and smudged the concealer off my wrists, revealing Keith's name imprinted into my skin twice.
Lotor stared for a second, stuttering.
"Oh- that- I um, Oh... I guess... that makes sense." He sounded somewhat disappointed. It was a strange tone in his voice and it made me sort of uncomfortable.
"Lotor... why are you so upset suddenly? It shouldn't matter. Whatever happens with me and Keith happens-" I stopped, seeing his eyes glaring down to his wrist. I knew him too well. He was hiding something.
Lotor said nothing, but he smudged some concealer over the spot of skin just above 'Allura Altea'. My eyes widened and for a long minute I had no idea what to do. Lotor has two soulmates... I held Lotor's wrist, reading my name over and over, sure it had to be some other Lance McClain.
"Could it not, y'know, be another Lance McClain?" I said softly, my voice shaking.
Lotor was silent. To answer me, he placed his hand on my neck and whispered sadly:
"Lance. How could it be anyone else but you?"
Then he leaned forward and kissed me softly, and I could taste the longing on his lips.
And I kissed back.
