I pulled away from Lotor.
Think about what you're doing, Lance. Lotor is cute and all but he's your best friend! He's not your type... is he?
I knew this was wrong, but when I looked at Lotor he looked so happy that I froze up.

"Hm? What's wrong, do you... do you not like me? I'm sorry I don't know what I was thi-"

"Lotor." I said but he kept talking nervously.

"Lotor. Its okay. I," I hesitated, putting my hand on his shoulder, "I like you. It's just, you're my best friend, don't know if it's worth ruining our friendship."

"But lance, you're my soulmate, even if I'm not yours. I would do anything for you." He said, looking hurt.
I couldn't resist that face, or those pretty purple eyes. I gave him a long peck on the lips.

"Does that mean you'll go out with me?" He said, like a puppy who just heard their owner say 'walkies.'

"Yes. On one condition. If we break up, we stay friends." I said, holding out my pinkie, only half joking. Lotor nodded and we pinkie promised like when we were little kids.

I was about to pull my hand away when Lotor took it in his. We went to hang in Shiro's dorm for the rest of lunch.

I knocked on the door and barged in, to the disappointment of Keith, who grumbled something under his breath, then continuing whatever he was doing. It looked like he was drawing.

I flopped down on one of the spare beds, putting my hands behind my head. Lotor pulled himself up on the desk next to me.

"Hey 'gane." Lotor said, and Shiro squinted at him, obviously annoyed at the use of his much hated other nickname.

We started laughing and joking about stuff, and told Shiro that we were dating, to which he replied "wait, you weren't already?"

Hunk walked in, seeing me and Lotor holding hands and sighed.
"Finally! I knew you two had a thing for each other."

"Couldn't you guys go be loud somewhere else?" Keith suddenly snapped.

"You act as if it's just your room. We came to see Shiro. You've only been here two days," I said, walking over to him sassily, "you should watch your mouth, mullet." I jabbed a finger in his chest.

Lotor pulled me away as the bell went and we left to pack for classes. I calmed down a bit, having no idea why I was so defensive.

Maybe it's natural instinct, seeing as he is my enemy.

I still couldn't get over that fact. It really was him. My enemy and soulmate. But I didn't need to think about that anymore, I had Lotor now.

It would be fine. I didn't have to worry about Keith. Maybe I wasn't his soulmate, and he would never realise he was supposed to be mine. Look at me and Lotors names; the wrists obviously get it wrong sometimes.

He didn't matter anymore.

Sorry this was so short🙁
