"Aww....Mama please don't cry!"

"I'm sorry baby, I just can't help it. My youngest child is leaving me."

"Mommy! I will only be a call away..."

She started crying even more.

"Ugh! Dad!!"

"Come on Nicole don't be so emotional she's coming back. She ain't gonna be gone for that long you knew that this day was gonna come, we have to let her go. She's a big girl now."

"Okay..." (sniffs)

As you can see my mother is the cry baby of the family. When my brother and sister went off to college it was a struggle trying to calm her down. My name is Natasha Nicole Lee, I graduated from Compton High School. I got accepted to UCLA and I'm majoring in fashion and photography. Being the youngest of two older sibblings can be annoying at times because they expect me to do more things. I'm Black and Hispanic, born and raised in Cali.

I can't believe that I'm finally going off to college. I'll be able to do more without my parents all over my back. I'M FREE!!!!

Right now we are putting all of my stuff away in my new condo which isn't too far from campus. Yea I am spoiled as you can see I can pretty much get anything I want. I'm far from a brat tho. The best part about having this condo is my bestfriend Kaelyn and I are going to the same college and she'll be moving in with me so I'm beyond excited. When we get together you can't tell us nothing. She's the peanut butter to my jelly, my rollie, my vato, my left butt cheek. Allat. Just like a white girl ain't nothin' without her starbucks I'm nothin' without my girl Kae! I know I'm going a little overboard, but that's my girl! We've been friends since we were in diapers.

It all started when my father and her father became business partners and my mother met her mother during fashion week in New York....long story short our parents became best friends, had us around the same time then BOOM! Greatness happened.

"Nicole where's Natasha?" My dad asked.

"She should be coming down in a minute." My mom said.

"Tasha! Kaelyn's here!"

I came running down the stairs like a fat kid going after the ice cream truck on a hot day!

"Kae Kae!!!!"

"TT!!"

"AHHH I miss you!!!" We both sreamed in unison.

"You girls just saw each other yesterday. Smdh." Our moms said.

"So what. You know she's my other half." Kae said.

"Kae. Have you Seen your room yet?"

"OMG! Girl no let's go see it." She said pulling me up the stairs.

To say our rooms were just nice was an understatement. Our parents had the best interior designing company come out to decorate the entire condo for us. It was bomb.

"I just knew that the room with the plush-orange carpet was mine." I said.

"Yes Natasha. You better be lucky that they could find such a beautiful carpet like that." My dad stated.

"Yoour the best dad!" I squealed.

"I know, I know. Thank me later!" He said while walking out of the room.

I ran into my room while Kae was getting settled then I sat on my bed and I admired the beautiful view that I had. I can most definitely get used to this.
