Present time

"Stop looking at me." I hissed under my breath.

"What's your problem? Am I bothering you?"

"Yeah, actually, you are."

Shaking his head, Trent let out a laugh. "Can't you relax for like two seconds? I'm not gonna do anything."

"Of course not," I said "Because you're too busy staring at my face."

"Can you blame me? I have the most gorgeous girl sitting right beside me so better take it all in while I can."

"Oh please, as if I haven't heard that before."

"You're welcome. Glad to see that you know how to take a compliment."

"I don't care about your compliment," I turned my head to meet directly with his somewhat welcoming eyes, "I know what type of guy you are and I'm sorry but it's not going to work."

Frowning, he shook his head before turning back to the board; his body slumped in the chair. "Do you really? Or are you just comparing me to every other jerk that's ever come up to you?"

"Considering you are one yourself, I'm gonna have to say yes."

"You have quite the personality don't you? I always appreciate an honest opinion or should I say positive criticism."

"Positive criticism? I don't even know what that's supposed mean."

Shaking his head, he let out a smug laugh. "Of course not; you're blonde." and that was all it took to trigger that one nerve.

"As if that's supposed to define who I am," I shot back "It doesn't mean that I'm blonde that I'm dumb. That's only some stereotype shit and if you really did know me then you would know that I'm nothing like a blonde. And just for the sake of it, I could say the same for your smart ass mouth because last I checked, you have a full head of blonde hair so who's dumb now?"

"But that's where you're wrong," he tested "Because you have blue eyes and I have brown. Only blue eyed blondes are the dumb ones."

"Oh yeah? How cute."

"Just like you." he winked and for a moment, I thought I was going to punch him but instead, I just turned around and fixed my gaze in front of me.

If there was anything I hated then surely it was people like him; the ones who judge every square inch of you before they even got to know you in the first place. Maybe I was a blonde with blue eyes but that didn't mean anything.

"Hey what are you doing after school today?"

"Certainly not you."

"Dirty minded are you? I like that." I rolled my eyes while scoffing; definitely should've seen that one coming. "No but seriously, are you free?"

"I have better things to do."

"Like what?" he countered trying to get his point through. Honestly though, I didn't have anything to do, I just didn't want to be in his proximity.

"Um I don't know, maybe go to the library and get some education considering I'm dumb you know, gotta catch up on those books."

"I was kidding," he corrected himself but of course, it was too late for that. "Come on Sadie, I'm sorry."

"I don't care about your apology you're still a dick."

Whether he was trying to flirt with me or not, he was doing a horrible job. Who calls someone dumb only to say it was a joke barely two minutes after? Dumb people. Maybe he had gotten the whole blue eyes/brown eyes thing wrong. Actually, I'm almost positive he did.
