Over The Edge~ Zouis

This is just a bit of a drabble I guess. Way more than one hundred words though but I feel like its too short so I'm gonna call it a drabble. Pleaaaaase, comment and vote!

Louis licked his lips and threw the bottle of corona he had just polished off behind him, hearing it shatter in pieces. He sighed shakily before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand  before biting his lower lip. The wind was whipping around his thin body and the city looked so beautiful up here on the edge of this building, just about 200 feet up from the ground. 

He was trembling with the thought of what he was about to do, the alcohol in his system helped gained the courage he so desperately desired. He was scared in a way, because there's no going back after this. This isn't the same as taking a few pills and ending up hospitalized, this is permanent. Louis wasn't thinking right, of course he wasn't when he was just about to jump to death. The only thing going through his mind was Harry Harry Harry. 

But Harry wasn't there, he wouldn't be even if he knew that leaving him would result to this. Harry was all Louis had and his life took a dramatic flip when he had left him, leaving him lost to the world. He had spiraled out of control and nothing that anyone had said had helped him even in the slightest. 

So here he was, clutching a crumpled picture and him and Harry to his chest as his tears blurred the city lights around him. He edged closer, the tips of his feet hanging over the edge and he spread his arms out as he closed his eyes, feeling the tears slip down his cheeks. 

He was gonna end the pain.

"Louis!!!"  

His eyes snapped open and he slowly lowered his arms, "Don't try and stop me Zayn." he said as he lowered his head.

"Louis, Louis please look at me." Zayn said frantically as he slowly started to move closer to him.

The older boy breathed shakily as he turned around, trying not to let the wind unbalance him. "Don't come any closer or I'll jump, I swear I fucking will." Louis voice wavered as he looked at Zayn.

"Please, Louis. Think of what you're doing." Zayn spoke softly and slowly, as if he was speaking to a child. Louis was broken and fragile and he didn't want to say anything to set him off and see his best friend die in front of his eyes. "I know what Harry did fucking ruined you, it fucked you up and I understand that.-"

"NO! Don't you dare say you know what it did to me, you have no fucking idea. He meant everything to me, he still does. And he gets to go on and live happily while I'm left to pick up the pieces, but I just can't. I can't do it Zayn, I can't be fixed. I feel used and irreparable and I just can't go on living this way." The tears were now falling freely down Louis' face and he brought his trembling hands up to wipe them away. 

"Louis... I know that something inside you broke when he left, but you can be fixed. Things will get better, I promise you. But please don't jump off this building and leave me having to pick up the pieces of your death, because you're not thinking of the damage it will cause if you do. You'll be leaving me and the boys. When your mother hears that shes lost her firstborn, that your sisters no longer have an older brother. I know you think that Harry was all you had but you're wrong." Zayn started to tear up as a sob broke through his lips, "you have me you'll always have me. You just have to let me in. You have to let people in, Lou."

Louis' hand loosed and the picture of him and Harry on their first date, smiling brightly and so much in love, slipped through his fingertips. The wind picked it up and it flew away.

He felt numb.

He felt Zayns hand grab his and he left him pull him off the edge and onto the roof top, he wrapped his arms around his neck and cried till his voice was hoarse and he felt like he couldn't breathe.

He was going to live. If not for himself, but for the sake of the people around him that loved him.
