"Thanks for the drag up the stairs."
"Sorry Candy, but this is urgent." We sit on my bed.
"So today, after you sent Pony to talk to me, we went for a walk, we watched the sunset, and we talked and talked." I nod listening to her tell me about her day.
"Candy it was just almost too perfect." I nod.
"So Im so happy for y'all, it seems like y'all are fixing your friendship, but your perfect day with Pony was the urgent reason you dragged me up the stairs?"
Kate rolls her eyes, "No, I think it's time I just tell Ponybody I like him." Before I can react, me and Kate direct our attention to the gasp that comes from my doorway.

"Oooooooooooooooooooooollllllll, you like Ponyboy?!" Two-bit basically screamed. I ran over to him and put my hand over his mouth.
"Two-bit, you better not open your Two-big mouth or else." I removed me hand from his mouth. "Or else what?" He rolled his eyes.
Kate pulls out her switch. "Or else I'll kill you." I just give Two this look that lets him know Kate means business.
"Ok fine." He goes back down stairs. Kate puts her head in her hands. "Great, now Two-bit's big mouth ass knows I like Ponyboy."
"Yea, but hopefully he doesn't say anything, are you still going to tell Pony?"
"I wanted to but, I don't know anymore."
"Well, I think you should go through with it, I've been waiting for you guys to get together."
"You know what, I'm going to go through with it, but I'll tell him tomorrow, can I-."
"Why are you even about to ask that dumb question, yes you can stay the night." We laughed and headed downstairs. The gang stopped the conversation they were having when we walked in.

"Soooo what did you guys just stop talking about?" I folded my arms, and everyone just exchanged looks.
Dally scoffed, "The rumble." Johnny nudges him and everyone glares at him, I raise my eyebrow just like Two taught me.
"Is there something I'm missing?" Soda stood from his spot on the floor next to Steve. "Uhh we weren't gonna tell you because, uhh, we really don't want you fighting in this one Candy."
"What why?!"
Soda looked down rubbing his neck, "With what happened we just don't think it's a good idea."
"So I can't even fight in a rumble that's for me because of what happened to me?!"
"I'm sorry Candy but-." I put my hand up, cutting Soda off from finishing what ever bullshit he was tryna spoon feed me. I kept a fake ass calm composure, gave them a calm nod with a smirk before walking out of the door.

Soda's Pov
I don't know how to react as I watch Candy calmly walk out, one of the scariest things I've ever seen.
"Welp that went well." I chuckled trying to lighten the mood.
"You guys are idiots." Dallas growled.
"What?"
"Those sick bastards took everything from Candy, leaving her with very few things, and the need for revenge being one of them, and not letting her fight in this rumble and treating her like some baby is a mistake." With that, Dallas was out the door behind Candy.

Candy's Pov
I was wandering with no destination, when I felt his presence behind me.
"Dal stop following me."
"Listen Candy-."
"I know."
"You know what."
"That you told the gang off, that your not going to treat me like some broken glass, and that you're gonna let me fight in this rumble." I spun on my heels now facing Dal.
"Huh, Cotton Candy you are something else, so what else am I thinking, what am I gonna say next?"
"Let's go have some fun, but in other words, do some illegal shit with the promise you won't get me caught but the reality of the situation I just might."
"Huh, right again you are Candy." I tip my imaginary hat.
"But since you spoiled my illegal surprise, we're not doing that anymore so, watcha wanna do kid?"
I rubbed my stomach, "I'm kinda hungry, you're about to fill my belly." I grabbed Dal's wrist dragging him in the direction of an all night dinner.
"Ummm are you asking or demanding?" Dal put his arm around me as we started walking.
"Either way you're gonna do it Dal." I smirked, Dal not giving me a smart remark let us both know I was right.
