I take steps along the clouds, carefully and silently. Every single ice-cold drop of the cloud sinks into my foot. Despite the frigid temperature, it is a pleasant feeling, and leaves an amiable, tickling tingle on the soles of my feet. On the cloud adjoining mine, a beautiful man stands. His golden hair in waves, his skin glowing with droplets of condensation. His eyes are a blue-green hue, giving me a weird but wonderful shiver in my stomach every time I look into them. He wears a white silk shirt, opal buttons winding down the front. The shirt billows with slightest movements he makes, giving him the look of an angel. Beneath the shirt is a pair of gray slacks, made of the same silky material. He is barefoot and beautiful. As he looks at me, he smiles. He was positively glowing. As his mouth opens to say something, a harsh beeping emanated from him. What was that? Why does he sound like my alarm?
I groaned and rolled over on my queen bed. Of course, my alarm had to interrupt my wonderful dream. What was that man going to say? Now I'll never know.
The ugly signal continued, giving me a headache. No way am I going to begin the day with a headache. I grumpily sat up and pushed my blankets aside. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and got up the courage to touch my toes to the freezing wood floors.
As I began to wake up more, I rubbed my eyes blearily. A small movement at my feet startled. Looking down, I saw the orange and white back of my cat rubbing across my legs.
"Good morning Ulsan," I croaked. I reached over and whacked the top of my alarm clock, finally ceasing the grotesque sound of the morning. I slid my feet the floor, straightening my white t-shirt and sweatpants. I didn't have to look in the mirror to know my waist-length hair looked like a rat's nest.
