make him want to gag when he
sees them, because he caused
half of them himself.

boy with immense pain from
carrying the weight of the
world on his shoulders, not just
his world, but others'.
the pain of being alone to
drown out his woes during the night is
too much to bear for such a
small dream boy.
butterflies don't fly in the
winter, and if fairies do then
there's a reason they're unseen--
because snow collapses atop them.
sad as it may be.
nico is a broken boy,
always has been, and
curses himself for not
seeing it beforehand,
now he's just got a
bigger stack of regrets
that add up to make
his dinner since he's
poor, but are worse
than the sludge in the
sewers, or the clowns
in them.
nico is a pain,
and there is no longer anybody there
to save him.
