(CAMREN) Falling For You

The next day at Dinah and Normani's everyone arrived and were just waiting for Lauren and Amelia.

"Ok so, once Laur gets here, Ally and Will can come in our car, and Camila you can ride with Lauren and Melz." Dinah said.

"Are you sure Lauren wouldn't mind?" Camila asked.

"Definitely." Dinah said with a wink to Camila.

Why did she wink at me. Does she know I have a crush on Lauren? Camila thought. Next thing she heard was Amelia running and screaming fishy day!

Everyone greeted each other and got in their assigned cars to head out to the aquarium. On the ride there it mainly consisted of Amelia telling Camila how excited she was to see the fishes and how she hopes to find Nemo and Dory.

Once arriving to Santa Monica pier they headed straight to the aquarium. After about 30 minutes Dinah decided to take Amelia to look for Nemo along with Normani. Will and Ally stood looking at the seahorses. Leaving Camila and Lauren alone.

"So, Camila what made you come back to L.A?" Lauren asked as they walked toward the jellyfish.

"Well a lot of reasons, but the two main ones were: one, that I missed my family and two, I needed a change."

"I see. Why is it that you needed a change? I'm sorry if you feel like I'm being intrusive. Please tell me if I'm getting too personal."

"No it's ok. You're fine." 

Camila let out a sigh and looked toward the tank of jellyfish. "I started partying a lot. I partied so much that the late 8 months passed by in a blur. I would drink so much that I'd black out and it just became a repetitive thing. It got to the point where I craved alcohol you know. I needed to get my life back on track and I knew in order to do that I needed to leave."

"Well it's great that you took the step to change. What made you drink so much?"

"It started as a coping mechanism for being heartbroken but then it just became, I don't know exactly, I guess... It just became my norm."

Lauren reached out and gently rubbed Camila's arm. "What happen with your ex, Camila?"

Looking at Lauren's hand gently rubbing her arm. She shrugged then looks back toward the tank. "I don't know exactly what happened... Or what caused him to cheat on me but he did. I thought we were doing great you know? We both got a little more busy but I thought we were still doing good."

"One day my friend and I went to a bar for quiz night. We ended up joining forces with these three girls at another table. We all got to talking and having fun, I ended up hitting it off with one of the girls and we exchanged numbers and decided to go for coffee in a couple of days."

"We ended up meeting three days later. We started talking about our relationships. I told her that I had been with my boyfriend for awhile and that we were going on 4 years together. She told me how her and her boyfriend were going on a year and a half now and that they met one night at party she told me the cute story of how she dropped her drink on him and yeah. Anyway she went to show me a picture of him. Turns out her boyfriend of a year and a half was also my boyfriend of 4 years. Crazy how small a world can be right?"

"What the hell! You mean to tell me he was in two relationships at once?! What a pig!" Lauren says in disgust.

"Yeah, once we figured that out. she told me all the promises he told her funny how similar they were to mine he told her how he wanted to marry her and how they even planned holidays together and everything. She hadn't met his family yet but he told her that he would take her to meet his family once they hit two years because that when he wants to propose to her. The reason why she hadn't met his family is because he told her that they lived overseas and that it was expensive to visit. Which was a lie. His parents lived like 8 blocks away from us in Boston we used to go visit them every Sunday." Camila shook her head and laughed.

" Anyway we confronted him. And he said how he was in love with both of us, that he couldn't leave either one of us. I asked him if he would sleep with her then come sleep with me and vice versa. He admitted that sometimes he would. I just felt so disgusted, in him and in me and I just felt like the biggest fucking fool on the planet how can I not see or know that he was cheating on me for that long I mean how stupid can I be, you know?"

"None of it was your fault Camila he was a selfish pig. And you trusted him, you had no reason not to trust him that doesn't make you a fool you were In love, why would you expect the one you love to hurt you like that."

"I guess. So... I ended up resorting to drinking and then as the drinking progressed it consumed me. I lost my job for being unreliable, I started coming in drunk or being drunk on the job. I just, I just didn't want to feel, I wanted to numb my feelings and drown out my thoughts. I ended up having to borrow money from my parents to pay my last two months in rent. once my lease was up I moved in with a friend and that was an even bigger mistake and things just got even worse. Finally one day I woke up in my own piss and vomit and I was ashamed of myself ashamed of what I've become, I became a person I didn't even know, and to be honest I couldn't have even told you what day it was let alone what month it was. I couldn't be her no more I needed to be me again and I knew, I couldn't do it there. With all those memories and knowing that I chose to go to Boston because of him, for him. For something that I thought was real."

Lauren looks at Camila and pulls her into a hug. Camila couldn't help but sink into the hug. She  felt so much warmth from Lauren's arms wraps around her.

"Camila.." Lauren says while rubbing one of her hands soothingly up and down her back. 

"Sometimes you get unlucky in love but consider it a lesson maybe even practice because when you finally find your one, you'll know, that all the others before could never compare to the love you share with them. Some loves are for the moment or for the season and those loves no matter how hurtful they can be at times they shape you and prepare you for your forever love. You know kinda like that saying, you have to kiss frogs till you find your prince."

"Easy for you to say you already found the love of your life. Camila said pulling away from Lauren's embrace.

"Camila you can have more than one love of your life but you can only have one forever love. I was Elizabeth's forever love because she loved me till her last breath. But she wasn't mine she was the love of my life for that moment because we both knew that I would still be here alive without her. We both knew that we wouldn't have forever together she'd only get the forever while I only got the seasons. But that didn't stop me from giving her all the love I can and even though I lost her, I lost my love, my best friend, I wouldn't change a thing because she, Camila, she got to die knowing she had a forever love and she had the family she always wished for even if it was cut short she still got it and she was happy. So who knows maybe one day I'll find a forever love and grow old with them and live all my seasons with them and have the family we both wished to have together and get to love each other till both of our last breaths."

Camila didn't say anything she couldn't say anything. She had so many emotions going through her again, all she could do is just hug Lauren. So she did just that. She hugged her as tightly as she could and Lauren did the same. 

They stood there hugging for another minute before Lauren backed away and told her that they should go start looking for everyone else so they can go on some of the rides on the pier before Amelia gets too tired and cranky.
