Sunday March 15, 2043

Today wasn't really different for other days. Sundays are one of those days that my father loves to slack off and do nothing for the whole morning. My mother understands his fatigue. She doesn't mind him laying down on the couch and taking some power naps. After all, she tells me that he was always like this ever since they met each other. She admits that she loves to be lazy too.

Mother loves my father a lot and Father loves her so much too. Her favourite thing to do when my dad is sleeping, she tends to scare him while he's sleeping or waking up from his slumber. Father can get surprise easily without being warned or told.

Anyways, I told mother about what happened yesterday at church with Nicole.

Mother started joshing me. "Noah Chacon Ocana! ¿Cómo no me dijo sobre esto antes?" She said in a childish tone of voice. She was looking at me with one of her eyebrows raised and her other one straight.

I stared for a good 10 seconds solid and after a long pause, mother giggles about my scared reaction. She hugged me and kissed me. "I knew about this gossip, sugar plum. She reminds me of the time when I feel in love with your dad." She said.

I blushed about that statement. "How did you knew about this before telling you just now, mom?" I softly asked.

"Well, the fact that Nicole always spend her time talking with me about you at church. Especially when you weren't around." Mother explained.

"There were times that she would cry about you and she also told me that she always wishes to spend more time together with you.

Nicole is an amazing, very sweet, optimistic and clever girl. Even though she is somewhat stubborn and sensitive, you should go to her more often and talk her too." Mother concludes.

"You're right, mom. Thanks to God, I was able to tell her the truth." I answered.

"And I am proud that you did it, Noah." Mother said while snuggling me and kissing me. "Go eat your breakfast if you like to, sweetie." She included.

I got up from the couch we were sitting on. I went to the kitchen to serve myself cereal and almond milk. Then I brought my bowl of cereal with milk to the dining room. Finally I sat down and began to eat.

Mother turns her head right to see my father still sleeping on the couch and smiles at him. She got up and kissed him on the cheek. Then she came to the dining room and sat down near me.

"Did you know that when you were a baby, you used to sleep so much just as your father." Mother stated. "Really?!" I replied. "Mhm, I took a picture of you sleeping on his chest. You were adorable." She answered while showing me a picture of me on her phone.

"I used to sleep a lot, right?" I asked. My mother nodded, "Almost 18 hours per day." I was amazed about the fact of my sleeping hours, I slept so much when I was small. That's baby power there! I wonder if I am a gifted child, perhaps I am just like Richard. But instead having an IQ of 500 and extremely rich, I must be chosen for a destiny that I don't know what it might really be. I'll let the Holy Spirit guide me to what I am looking for.
