Cecile POV:
She hugged her knees to her chest. She didn't know where she was. She had run out of the training room so fast she had forgotten to consider that She had no idea where she was. So instead She had run towards the thick cluster of trees behind the glass building and taken refuge under a large pine tree. The tree whose prickly branches hid me from view. She knew it was stupid to cry over something so small. But She couldn't help it. She wanted to be with her family. And her friends. And people She knew, who were human. Instead, She was stuck in the middle of a Pacific stuck in a cage of a place. And the one person She did know thought it was fun to be a jackass.
Salty tears trickled down her cheeks. She didn't bother trying to keep them in now, it didn't matter. Slowly the tears dwindled and She quickly wiped her face. She knew her eyes would still be slightly red. She leaned against the trunk of the tree, unfolding her legs. She took in a deep breath, pine smelling air filling her lungs. The smell was almost relaxing. She closed her eyes, listening to the sharp chirps of the birds. Why was She here? What was She supposed to do? Apparently, She was part Keeper. Did that mean She had some sort of powers? Would they let me go when She learned how to control them? Did She actually want to go home? This was close to a dream come true. Going to a different world. Having powers. Meeting a cute guy. She didn't know it would all be this draining. Or difficult.
Why couldn't She meet a nice guy? She wondered, her mind drifting off until suddenly She was asleep.

Cecile, a voice whispered in her brain. Cecile. She hummed, the soft voice slowly fading.
Cecile! She woke with a start, breathing hard. Her head whipped around but there was no one. Oh, shit. She shifted closer to the tree.
Cecile. It's Jaxon. The voice spoke again. Her eyes widened. How the hell was he in her head? Was he always there? Her face paled a little at the thought of the intrusion.
Cecile, where are you?
How are you doing that?
Telepath, remember. Where are you? My grandfather's freaking out.
Why should I tell you?
Cause its almost dark and you really don't want to be alone. She sighed.
Alright.
So where are you?
I...don't know.
What do you mean?
I mean, I just ran.
Humans really are...
Amazing. I know. He sighed annoyed before he went silent. She sighed and came out of the safety of her tree. He was right. The sun was hovering just above the horizon giving the sky almost a greenish hue near the horizon. She probably only had a half an hour of light left. She looked at the wood. Maybe She was stupid. Well, this was definitely stupid. She could try to find her way back or She could wait for Jaxon. Ha, no. She would prove him wrong. She had been running away from the sun. That much She remembered. So now She just had to move towards the sun. Of course, with the evening coming it was almost impossible to find the sun. So instead She headed in the direction where the light seemed brightest.
She thought She had been trudging through the forest when finally She heard a noise. She had to be somewhere. She stepped into the shadows as a group of boisterous people walked into the woods. She smelt alcohol. Good to know these people still enjoyed human things. Suddenly She heard whispers and shouts.
