Now, Rolanz, Central Command

Landon heard the shocking, sharp, pang of the gun. He ran keeping his head down, he had to reach the corner for cover before Dawson got to him! It was life or death, and that corner is what could keep him alive, it was only seconds away!

The sound of a bullet hitting plaster bounced loudly in his ear, as specks along with dust hit his face. The impact felt like needles, he couldn’t keep his eyes open enough to see clearly. The peach colored walls were fuzzy, faces of past Rolanz leaders looked down upon him from the walls. The family’s and crying of the ones he’d killed in war danced in his memory. It was worse than torture. It was like a sign they were trying to drag him where they were now. He reached the corner, but was stopped abruptly by a sign.

DO NOT CROSS. EXPLOSIVES.

There was no other way to escape. General Dawson was sure to catch up, and he did. “Where do you think you’re going solider?” Dawson asked in his masculine voice.

“To go see my girlfriend Sir.” Landon said with fear hitting his face. With no words spoken General Dawson grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to his office. Once at the office General Dawson locked the door, and excused himself to make a phone call. General Dawson entered back in the room and sat down, he started polishing his gun. So many thoughts were racing in Landon’s mind. Would he actually kill me, would he sacrifice me, a brave solider, to a grave?

“Let me let you in on a secret, Landon,” General Dawson stretched out the name, “There are a lot of secrets at this world. Places to hide, people to hide… you need to watch out how much leisure time you’re taking lately. I’m getting worried.” General Dawson stopped and took out a box. It was small and white. He opened the chamber of the gun and put one bullet in. He closed the chamber and cocked the trigger. “How’s that girl of yours solider?”

“Good sir, actually,” Landon was cut from a knock on the door.

“Come on in…” General Dawson said with authority in his voice. The door opened with ease, and the sound of heels came in. General Dawson held the gun up towards Landon.

“Sir, I can,” Bang! The gun went off, another to follow it shortly.
