That is how the next couple days had gone. Adrien would go to school and do everything in his power to make Marinette sputter and blush, and at night he would arrive as Chat Noir  kissing her like he had wished he could at school.

It was becoming a routine. Marinette was becoming his soul reason for leaving bed, he was treating her like oxygen needing her everyday.  He thought he would get tired of her company, or at least to a point where he could spend a couple hours away, but any time away was spent thinking of her until he got to see her again.

Marinette seemed to enjoy the routine as well. Every night she would bring up treats from her parents bakery and they would eat, talk and laugh on her balcony. Count stars, hold hands and trace out the futures of what they wanted, dreams and aspirations. Then as the night would grow later he would watch her as she continued to finish her and Alya's costume for the Halloween dance. She still had not allowed him to see what she was going as, but he could only believe it would beautiful if she was wearing it.

During the day she had become bolder, remarking back to Adrien's flirting, or even initiating it herself on occasion. Both of them would laugh at Alya and Nino's confused faces at the change of demeanor. Chat couldn't figure out where the change came from, if it was just from her hanging out with Chat, or if she herself was ready to be the person she was deep down. Chat loved it.

Loved that he had the opportunity to see both sides of this beautiful women, and that he could be even remotely close to her in anyway.

Friday finally came and Adrien was going out of his mind. He was so excited to be able to actually go on a date with Marinette outside of her bedroom, and outside the friendly flirting of school.

That is, until lunch.

Nino and Adrien had walked out to the usual table, Adrien had been staying at school for lunch for the last week. Alya waved them over asking where Marinette was. It was then that the bluenette ran out to them red faced and jittery. She grabbed Adrien's hand and dragged him to the front steps of the school.

She blew out a long breath and scratched the back of her head. Adrien smiled realizing they must have been spending a lot much time together if she was taking his quirks. His smile dropped as he saw her face was red and filled with worry.

"What's wrong Princess?" He asked grabbing her hand.

Marinette looked up shocked, deep thought running across her features before she shook her head, "What did you call me?"

Adrien burned red. The nickname felt so natural he didn't realize that he wasn't the one that gave it to her, his alter ego did. "Uh- well... I" He stammered.

Marinette shook her head, "Nevermind, we need to talk about something before we go to the dance tonight"

Adrien's heart plummeted into his stomach, he could feel butterflies threatening to escape his chest. Could have been Akumas for all he knew, his nerves spiking.

"I'mKindaSortaSeeingSomeoneElseButICantTellYouHeIs!" Marinette rushed out.

"What?"

"I'm" she sighed, "Well I'm kinda seeing someone else..." Marinette stared at her feet, hands twirling.

Adrien felt cold. Numb even. He was fairly certain she meant Chat, but he couldn't know until she said it.

"Oh. Okay. Who?" Adrien asked flashing back to the very similar conversation they had not long ago as Chat.

Marinette tugged on her sweater trying to formulate words, Adrien wanted to make her worried expression vanish, wanted to take away her stress. He placed a hand on her shoulder, "Mari, it's okay. I won't be mad, I was just curious who it was"
