A small silver star sat in the distance, glowing brightly in the dark abyss. Behind it was a Leviathan Cross, it looked as if it were wrapping energy cords around the helpless star. The star’s light began to flicker as it lost energy. The light soon began to pulse, before it went out completely. The star crumbled into dust and the Leviathan Cross radiated powerful energy.

Then a whole army of Ankhs appeared, attacking the Leviathan Cross. Their attempts were futile. The Cross just sent out millions of energy cords, wrapping them around the Ankhs. All at once, the Ankhs fell and shattered across the floor.

“Don’t let the star die.”

“Don’t let your light fade.”

My head shot up, slamming against the wall behind me. I went to rub my now sore head, only to get burned and find my arms restrained. I opened my eyes, only to find out I was in a cell. My arms chained above my head, forcing me in a sitting position. I sighed, letting my head drop.

Why does this situation seem so familiar? Wait, didn’t this happen last year? But that was just a dream, wasn’t it?

I looked up into the cell in front of me.

Or was it a warning of what was to come if I failed my mission? If I see Kianna in that cell, then I know I failed. If it’s one of the others, maybe I have a chance to fix it.

I could see someone, but I couldn’t tell who it was. I could only hope it wasn’t Ki. The person in the cell sat up. I looked closer and let out a sigh of relief.

It’s Leona, thank God

She groaned and looked around, “I called it!”

“Is this really the time?” I heard Aryah’s voice from my left.

“How are we supposed to get out of here?” Kianna asked from my right. Leona looked at me.

“I can’t do anything. These chains burn me whenever I move and there’s an energy shield around the dungeon that keeps my powers at bay.” I looked down, “I’m sorry you got caught up in this mess.”

I heard a sinister voice from the dark corner of my cell. “Aw, poor Nyrimah, so weak and helpless.”

I’ve heard that voice before, wait a minute.

    “Zaikon.”

“Oh no, you caught me!” He cackled from the shadows.

“Show yourself, you vile demon!” I felt a slight surge of power flow through my veins.

“Now now little guard, you are in no position to be making demands.” He appeared in front of me, “but if you insist.” He was wearing the Shadow Knight uniform. Black tank top, pants, shoes, and a black cloak with a red Leviathan Cross on the back.

He took out a dagger and walked towards me. “How much pain can a guard handle before they die?” He smirked at me.

“Leave her alone!” Leona shouted from her cell.

He chuckled and turned to her, “oh? Now, where’s the fun in that?” He whipped around, slicing my cheek. I yelped in surprise and pain. I dropped my head.

Blood dripped from the cut as I glared at him from behind my hair, “be careful who you mess with Zaikon, or you may end up dead one day. Lucky for you, I’m just suppose to send you back to Limbo.” My voice was calm, but my words were dripping with rage. I could feel the power growing inside of me.

He put the tip of the dagger under my chin, lifting my face so I was looking at him, “and what are you going to do? You’re chained and at my mercy.” He flicked the blade up, successfully cutting my chin. I closed my eyes. I could feel the familiar burn of them glowing.

I open my eyes and met his red ones, my uniform stained with my blood. My face was emotionless, while his held confusion. He regained his composure, making his eyes glow as well.

I can’t let him win.

“You’d be surprised at what I am capable of,” I smirked at him. The lights in the dungeon began to flicker as my power grew stronger.

I destroyed the energy shield and broke out of my shackles. I stood up, facing the demon in front of me. We both held challenging looks in our eyes. I made a silver fireball in my hand, and pressed it to his stomach. His face quickly contorted in pain as the orb burned through his shirt.

As the pain became worse, he slowly began to sink to his knees. As soon as he was on the ground, I retracted my hand. I looked down at the demon as he writhed in pain and said with ice lacing my tone, “remind me again, who is at whose mercy?” He glared up at me before passing out on the cell floor.

I broke the bars of the cells and grabbed my friends, quickly teleporting us back to the clubhouse.

This star is not going to fade anytime soon.
