One year later

It’s been a whole year since my team had to abandon me. Nothing exciting happened in that year. Apparently, the incident that happened that day meant that Zaikon was already released and we were too late. Now my mission is to put him back in Limbo.

Kinda hard to do that when he hasn’t shown himself. I rolled my eyes.

I still had to go to school unfortuneatly. I was starting at Whyspia Gold Junior High today. Let me tell you, getting into that school when I live in the Bronze district was not easy. I had to pass a really hard entrance exam in order to get my scholarship.

I dressed in my uniform. A white dress shirt under a white jacket with black trim and a black bow above under the left shoulder, a white tie with black polka-dots, a black and white plaid skirt that came to mid-thigh, black knee high socks, and white converse. I left my silver hair down in slight curls, my bangs covering my left eye. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed.

I grabbed my black messenger bag that had a pink rose on the top right corner, and headed out the door, not bothering to eat breakfast, and made my way to the public bus stop. Walking the streets of the Bronze district in such fancy clothes isn’t always the best idea. The people looked at me either like I didn’t belong or like they wanted to jump me.

Jokes on them though, I always have a switchblade hidden in my bra. After my team left, I had to take up all their roles. Intelligence, combat, creativity, and leadership.

I made it to the bus stop just as the bus pulled up. I climbed on and found an empty seat at the back. I sighed and leaned my head against the window and watched the world zoom by. I still had no idea how I was supposed to pull off this mission by myself.

A voice pulled me out of my thoughts, “hey, mind if I sit with you?” I looked up and saw a girl wearing the same uniform as me. She had dark ginger hair that was in a bob and had emerald green eyes. She looked like she was about 5’4”.

She looks familiar. Where have I seen her before?

“Uh, yeah, sure.” I looked away and moved my bag to my lap.

“I’m Kianna Hearth from the Silver district, but all my friends call me Ki.” She said smiling at me.

That name… wait! She’s that girl from my dream! The one in the cell!

“I’m Nyrimah Solstice from the Bronze district, and I have no friends.” I said, not looking at her.

“So, you go to WGJ too?” She asked, gesturing to my uniform.

“Yup,” I replied, popping the P.

“Cool,” she fiddled with her thumbs for a second. “What grade?”

“Eighth.”

“Hey, me too!” She said excitedly, “I can already tell we’re going to be great friends.” I just glanced at her then returned my gaze to the window.

The bus stopped and people filed out. Upon exiting, Kianna linked her arm in mine and dragged me to the school building. It was nice having human contact again, I didn’t really talk to anyone after my team left. Kianna seemed excited to be here.

Who in their right mind is excited about school?

She kept looking around, looking for something.

“What are you looking-” I was cut off by someone shouting Kianna’s name.

“Hey Ki! Over here” Kianna’s head whipped towards the voice. She smiled and waved at two girls. One looked about 5’4”, had long curly, strawberry blonde hair and chocolate colored eyes. The other girl was an inch or two taller, had raven hair that was tied in a high ponytail, and ocean blue eyes.
