~Disclaimer: I own nothing of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. ~

Sweeney Todd soon fell asleep with Lucy running her fingers through his dark hair. He felt safe with Lucy, though being in his parlor with his demonized chair and friendly razors once felt like home, it strangely didn't anymore. As he slept the night away, Lucy decided to be some help to the lost soul. She dug around his belongings and found some thread and just a few medical supplies. Todd only held to the useless medical supplies to keep the name Tonsorial Barber.

As the barber slept, Lucy took his left arm and was more than determined to get the bullet out and clean and close the wound. Todd seemed to be in the deepest of sleeps; recovering from the nights of countless torture.

As it was a few hours past midnight, Toby had returned from the asylum completely horrified. He came home running and screaming. Mrs. Lovett was in her living room laying by the fire when the boy had bursted in.

"Mum! Mum!" Toby ran into the living room; nearly out of breath.

Mrs. Lovett sat up straight in the sofa with a concerned face. What did the barber do this time? "Don't tell me he was in another fight."

"I honestly don't know what'd I call it but... when I went down there... the door was open, so I went in. Right there... right in front of me... men were lying dead!"

Mrs. Lovett's face lost all color. She gestured Toby to come sit by and her and once he did she hugged him tight. "I don't think Mr. Todd's coming home," she whispered. "Was there any sign that he did it? Cause it could of been anyone."

"I just know there were lunatics everywhere and the first dead body I saw I ran straight here," Toby explained. "But... there's a light on upstairs. Did you by chance light a candle up there? I mean, I know you go up there every now and then."

Mrs. Lovett was then pale as a ghost. 'It's Mr. Todd... he escaped! Oh he's come home!!'

"I haven't gone up to his room for at least a good week."

"Do you think he's back up there?" Toby questioned. Mrs. Lovett then rose from her seat but Toby pulled her back down. "Don't go! He may be up there! Mum please face it, he's lost his mind, he's a murderer! Why can't you see that?!"

Mrs. Lovett sat back down and held Toby close. "It's alright, everything's going to be fine. Mr. T would never hurt me or you." Though that was a huge lie. Todd was on the verge deciding if he should waste the time to end her. "I know you don't like him, and you have every reason to do so... please just let me go check."

"No! Mum, I'm sorry but if he's up there I'm going to get the law!" Toby shouted. He was becoming irritated with the baker's constant obsession with the barber. He saw the barber as the devil and didn't understand how she saw him as an innocent angel.

She let out a sigh and ran her fingers through the boy's hair. "Fine... I won't go up there."

"Thank you," Toby whispered.

Mrs. Lovett looked up at the ceiling knowing he's upstairs. What she didn't know was that the barber was dreaming the day she'll die.

~ Early Morning ~

The sun began to rise and fight against the clouds that tried to block it's light. Lucy had finished healing Todd's bullet wound and that was left was some stitches. She didn't sleep that night. She just found out her husband was a straight razor wielding serial killer. The more she looked at him, the more she realized how he really had changed. He wasn't Benjamin Barker... that man had really died. She watched him sleep, it was adorable.
