Chapter 1
"Grandma Minx, can you tell us the story of how you met Grandma Krism?" One of my granddaughters asks. I smiled.
"Of course. It was amazing. I remembered it like it was yesterday. Sit down." I say, pointing at a couch nearby to signal them to sit down.
------Story Begins------
Once upon a time there was a young woman who lived in an empty house. Every morning, the young woman would wake up, alone, and gets ready to go to the same café shop she always went to, alone. That "young woman" is me. I was a 29 year old woman living alone in a big house with Youtube as a job. I went to Zé Café, a coffee shop that's a couple blocks down from my house, because they serve my favorite ice tea for a small price. I woke up one morning, never realizing that my life would change forever.
36 years ago, I woke up the same way I woke up every morning, either on the floor or under lots of bedsheets. I stood up, stretching my arms, and I fell back to sleep. But just a couple minutes later, I stood up and dragged my body to the bath tub and turned on the cold water. It's the only way I can wake up to do anything. After my "morning wake up", I went to the fridge and got the small gallon of milk for my cereal. Cereal was my usual breakfast since I was trying my best to save enough money to buy better equipment for my job. I picked up my black fedora hat and my jacket and I walked to my favorite coffee shop. As I walked by the window, I noticed the "Need A Job? We Got One for You! " sign was gone. I wonder who got the job... I walked inside and greeted the manager like I always did.
"Hello Mary" I greet the manager.
"Hey Minx." She waved at me and smiled.
"New cashier?" I asked, looking over to see the new employee. I waved goodbye to Mary and slowly walked to the counter. I couldn't wait to see this new cashier girl.
