Chapter 3
------Present Time------
"Time for lunch!" I say as I stood up slowly.
"Aww...But the story was getting interesting!” All of my grandchildren whined at the same time.
“Grandma’s got to eat! I’ll continue the story later.” I walked into the kitchen to see my daughter Ophelia making sandwiches.
“Hi mom. Thanks for distracting the children!” Ophelia says.
“Oh, no problem! It gives me something to do now.” I reply happily.
“Would you like some cheese in your sandwich?” She asks.
“No it’s okay.” Kristen used to love putting cheese in my sandwich even when I said not to…
All the children started piling up in the kitchen, begging to hear the rest of the story. Each one would start jumping up and down with excitement. “Please Grandma Michelle! Finish the story!” My grandchildren begged.
“ALRIGHT! I’ll finish the story! Sit down. Ophelia can hear it too if she prefers.” I declared.
------Back To The Story------
Once I walked back home from Zé Café, I ran to my office and turned on my desktop. With my tea in one hand and my mouse on the other, I called my best friend, Dlive, on Skype and waited for him to answer. I heard my phone buzz from across the room, so I casually stood up and picked it up. It was a text message from an unknown number. I looked at my cup that had Krism’s phone number and realized that it was Krism texting me so I added her to my contacts before messaging back, still waiting on the answer from Dlive. I unlocked my phone and checked my message.
Text messages:
Kristen <3: Hi, is this Michelle?
Me: Yeah =D Hi Krism!
Kristen <3: Hi :)
Me: I’ll text you later, I’m going to work right now. Unless you want to join?
Kristen <3: Nahh I’ll let you work. Besides, I got invited to do a video with a friend. Text yah later then. Byee (;
Before I could message Krism, Dlive answered my call on Skype.
“Hi Minxy Moo!” Dlive yelled through his mic, making my ears ring a little.
“Hey Dlive! Want to make a couple videos on Gmod?” I asked.
“Sure! I met someone today. Apparently my neighbor, Amanda, met a woman and introduced me to her so I invited her and Tesh and Entoan. They’ll join us in a couple minutes, if you don’t mind.” He stated.
“Who is this woman?” I asked, my curiosity getting the best of me.
“You’ll see…”
