Chapter 2

------Story Time------

I walked in front of the counter and looked up to come face-to-face with the new cashier. I noticed how beautiful this woman was, her black hair up in a messy ponytail, her red eye glowed with excitement. I knew she was American, judging by her skin tone and her American accent.

"Hello, my name is Krism or Kristen. What would you like?" Krism says while smiling and holding a pen and notepad. I smiled.

"Yes, I would like a peppermint ice tea." I said and winked at her. I could tell she was blushing and had trouble writing it down. I laughed and paid for it.

"Umm, may I please know your name so that when it's ready, I can call you out?" Krism says, looking down at her feet. I leaned over the counter and lifted her chin so that she can see my face.

"My name is Minx, or Michelle." I said, staring into her beautiful eyes. Her face turned bright red and she wrote my name down on the cup.

I turned around and looked around for a seat. Dammit it's full except for that table. I walked over and sat down on a seat and looked out the window, waiting for my order. I heard Krism from the counter.

"Mary! I'm taking a 15 minute break if you don't mind!" Krism yells out to the manager across the shop. Mary agreed and I heard Krism walking towards me.

"Can I sit here? Oh! Here's your tea, Minx." Krism asks softly. I felt my cheeks heat up a little.

"Of course. Thanks Krism. I usually don't get much company." I reply back. Krism nods and takes a seat in front of me. I decided to try and make a conversation.

"So, I heard you're new here. What do you think of Zé Café?" I asked.

"It's okay actually. I like London. It's a beautiful place." I nod in agreement

"London is beautiful. But not as beautiful as you." I said a little louder to make sure she heard.

"Well that makes two of us." Krism replied back. I chuckled at how smooth of a move we both made there.

"You're pretty cool, Krism. I have to go because I got to go to work. But it was great to meet you." I said with a sad tone. I didn't want to leave that day but I had to.

Krism stood up and grabbed a towel to clean the table up. I grabbed her hand and gave her something. She looked down at her hand and gasped. I gave her a $100 tip and my phone number written down on a napkin. I smiled and walked out of the shop with my peppermint ice tea. I looked down at my cup and notice that Krism wrote her number down on it. Smooth move, Krism.
