The day went by quickly it was around 6 PM it was aroundand i was in the kitchen with Liz frosting a cake.
"What's part two of my present?" Luke said wrapping his arms around my waist, water was dripping from his hair.
"Where were you?"
"Outside with Jack and ben, in the pool, come in with me.." He said pulling my waist
"i'm doing your cake hemmings." i said prying his fingers off of me.
"well are you almost done?" He asked standing in between his mom and i
"yes." i said looking over the counter for sprinkles
"cool, meet me outside, James is cooking barbecue hehe.." He said running outside, i looked at him through the glass door and saw him cannon ball into the pool
"Take care of my lukey.." Liz spoke up handing me the sprinkles
"thank you, and i will, you don't have to worry." I smiled
"Oh i know its just.. he lives so far from me, it's just.. i didn't know about the accident till you told me last night....do you love him?"
"Do i?...more than you can ever imagine Mrs. Hemmings."
"Call me Liz sweetie." Liz said smiling at me while i poured the sprinkles. "I'm glad he found a girl good for him, and loved him with all his flaws."
"I'm willing to put up with his flaws, and mood swings, and everything else in between." I smiled at her.
She smiled back and passed me the black icing.
"Luke swore he'll never leave his family like his father did.."
"d-do you know where he is..?"
"He left me a letter, saying how much he loved me but the boys don't know that, theres.. a piece of me thats waiting for him, and the other is letting go.."
"But you love James right?"
"Yes of course i do. Did you love ashton the way you loved luke?"
"I loved ashton....but it wasn't...the same.."
"You understand me." She winked and smiled
"Wait how did you know about ashton..?"
"Oh honey, Luke called me numerous of times asking what he should do because his girlfriend, which i thought he was talking about Mariana the whole time, was dating ashton now.."
"What do you mean he called you.."
"Crying."
"What?" I said in shock "Is he really that sensitive?" i asked finishing the cake and putting it in the fridge
"No, he just loves you... alot.. he acted all cool in front of you didn't he..." She said
"yeah.. i thought that he moved on from me.. a year later and he was dating some girl named renee.." i said cleaning up the counter
"Oh.. luke.. if i know my son i know when he loves a girl, he used renee to get over you, but it didn't work.... i don't ever remember him crying over a girl either.....thats why i said.. take good care of him.. the only girl he had in his life to care for him, was me, but my position has been replaced.. by someone special." I blushed at her words.
"My mom never liked luke.. " I said looking down
"Well.."
"She thought he was a bad influence, and a bad person, and she acted so fake around him, but she never let him show her how good of a boyfriend he can be to me, she never gave him a chance, so when she found out that after the crash i was still dating him, she kicked me out of the house." I said choking on my words..."You're such a good mom to him, you raised him right, the only reason he became such an awful person was because he was dating Mariana.." I explained while wiping the counter
"I figured." Liz said rolling her eyes "You know, i'll be your 2nd mom, and even thought im miles and miles away from you, you can always call me.... Honey, stop cleaning, go change into your bathing suit and go outside before it gets dark!" She said taking the cleaning rag from my hand..
"But i--"
"go! now!" She insisted.. I hugged her.
"well that was sudden.." She laughed
"Thank you."
"Thank you too.." She hugged back
"Am i interuptting something?" A voice said.. Luke..
"No, we were just talking and got emotional." Liz answered him..
"okay..?? anyways, c'mon leah, go get changed please!" luke said
"Babe, don't come in the house, you're soaking wet" I answered him
"I know, how about you give me a hug.." Luke said opening his arms and walking towards me.
"No. stop." I said walking backwards "Luke this shirt is expensively new"
"C'mon.. just a cuddle!" He said walking closer.. I turned around and ran out of the kitchen.
"Becareful you two!!"
Luke was running after me.. I made a sudden turn to the staircase till i heard a thud..
"Ow ow ow ow! fuck fuck ow my ankle!" I heard him say from downstairs..
"Luke!" I said running downstairs and finding him on the floor holding his ankle.. I kneeled next to him
"Ouch.. babe.. help me.. get an ice pack or something.." He said
Liz ran to where Luke and i were
"are you okay!?" She asked..
"no mom! i'm hurt! ouch ouch.. oh my god its throbbing!" he screamed..
"Well lets take you to the hospital." She said looking down at him.. "I'll get your brothers t--"
Next thing i know i was wrapped around his arms and he rolled over on top of me..
"LUKE!!!" I shouted under him. "Get off!"
"I just wasted 5 minutes of my life.." Liz said walking away.
"Luke!" i whined
"Kiss me." He said looking down at me as water dropped from his hair to my face..
I pecked his lips quickly "off now."
"That wasn't a kiss."
"Luke please!"
"Kiss me then.. "
"No! let me go change!"
"You can go change, when you kiss me.."
I ran my fingers through his wet hair and pulled his head down softly as i kissed him softly and slowly.
"Much better." He said getting up and helping me up as well
"I generally hate you.." I said walking up the stairs.
I changed quickly to a coral coloured bikini top and a black bottom and walked outside in a towel. He was in the pool fighting with his older brothers till i took my towel off..
they all looked at me and i felt a bit uncomfortable..
Jack whistled then luke smacked the back of his head..
"c-come in baby.." Luke said getting out of the pool..
"don't you dare hug me again luke!"
"Come here.." He said running to me and picking me up bridal style
"don't throw me in please." I said begging
"I love it when you beg" He said smirking
"Baby if you love me, you won't throw me in." I said pouting my lips
Luke raised an eyebrow.. next thing i know i was being thrown in and luke jumping in afterwards
"I don't love you." Luke said when he rose up to the surface right after me.. "I adore you." He smiled resting his forehead against mine..
"Hm..yeah."
"Say it back."
"I adore you more.." I smiled kissing him, i wrapped my legs around him and he walked to a corner in the pool and leaned against it.
