Stasia's POV
Astella couldn't forgive me. Not only had I prevented her from helping her hero but I had also failed in avenging her. In her words, I had completely failed her. A sting made it's way through my chest, developing ever so slowly but making sure that I felt every inch of it.
"Stop following me for once Sia!" She shouted on top of her lungs as we made our way out of the city.
"Then where would you like me to go?" I stopped on my tracks.
"Just go! Leave! I don't care where you go. You'll do more good away from us than you do near any of us." She also stopped walking and, by the sound of it, turned to face me.
"Is that what you'd like?" I asked.
"I think that's what all of us would like. I don't think you need us to be your light anymore, you're more than capable enough to survive on your own. After all, she always said that you were the best among us." She scoffed. "Best for sure."
"Stella stop." Ryad interceded. "You don't have to go anywh-"
"Just because you have a little crush on her doesn't mean that you can speak on behalf of us Ryad." She snarled at him. "I think we'd do better without her, without you too if you'd like."
"You say that Ryad doesn't speak on behalf of us but then you state your opinion as if it were ours. Since when did you get assigned as the leader Stella? Sia did everything she could and much more, don't put the blame on her. We were forbidden from even participating." It was Jackson's turn to interfere.
"Oh so now everyone is ganging up against me? What about you Samuel? Would you also like to side up with the oh so righteous Sia?" The sarcasm dripped from every word.
"Sia didn't do anything wrong. But I can't let you go alone, so i'll go with you." Samuel replied.
"So will Ryad and Jackson." I spoke before Ryad and Jackson could.
"Bu-"
"Jackson" My voice was stern. "You'll go with her. Understood?"
"Yes ma'am."
Ryad didn't even question me. He knew that Stella was still immature and would need as much guidance as she could. She had a thing for following the wrong people and hopefully they would prevent her from doing that.
"Are you guys coming?" Stella's voice was heard from a distance. She had already started walking.
I nodded at their goodbyes and waited there until I couldn't hear their footsteps anymore. Looking up at the sky I silently said my goodbye and turned to walk in the opposite way.

16 months later
After parting with Crystelle, I had still maintained contact with her to make sure that she was doing fine and to be there if she needed help. She had settled in the city of Oricos and had also landed a job at a human bakery.
When I had told her about the whole incident, she demanded that I come to her at once. She said that she had an apartment with enough space for two people and that plenty of homes were in need of babysitters.
I hated kids.
And thankfully, people didn't trust a blind person with kids.
Though people could never tell that I was blind until I told them. Even then they refused to believe me. With the help of Astella, I had learnt the approximate location of a person's eye depending on their height. Before I could learn that I learnt how to tell a person's height. With the amount of shadow they cast on me, I was able to achieve that.
