Chapter Twenty Two
It all happened it flashes. Falling down on my knees screaming for him to get up. Digging around in my pocket trying to find my cell phone. Dialing 911. Talking to the dispatcher in a rushed mix of English and German, then trying to slow down my words and make them make sense. Waiting for the ambulance. Wondering why I care so much. Talking to the EMT's. Riding with him to the ER. I don't remember most of what I said nor do I remember the band arriving in the waiting room. I don't remember the doctor coming out or why they all had grim faces.
But I do remember Andy coming into the grim waiting room. Looking like he was going to cry. Running to my arms. Me apologizing to him relentlessly. Holding his shaking form. Asking him why he was crying, even though I knew why. He was upset because I cared that his rapist was unconscious because of a tad too much of heroin. He was upset because I rode with his rapist to the hospital and could think nothing more of his well-being. He was upset because even though I wanted to kill him for multiple reasons, if he died it would turn my world upside down. Those things I was sure of, but what came out of his mouth shocked me.
He was upset because even though he knew I wanted to kill Axel, one of my best friends could die. He was upset because I was hurting. Because I was torn. Because even though I was mad at him, I was still hoping that Axel would pull through.

Uh, oh. Okay, this is where I left off when I was fourteen. I would like for you to comment and tell me if you think Axel should get the Ax (hehe, oh wait this is seruous..) or not.
